Bungie has so far made 2 post that were placed on the first page of bungie.net.

I read it as a new halo universe game in which the main character is whoever is being designated as [DARE.V.500341(S1)] in the messages. In the first one he is the guy that opened the archived message and in the second one he is asking the Admiral commanding a large ship for a squad. Actually more demanding then asking.
Geeks all around the world are tying to keep thier heads from exploding as Bungie keeps making more hints, I like.

oh i know why they do it... I just think a kick *** trailer would be more effective. it's not like the Halo brand is in dire need of fans.

They're actually planning two new Halo games. One is a halo game (i forget the abbreviations) like star craft, and the other is the universe one mentioned above.

The last two offered amazing multi-player aspects that were worth getting on their own. You can question the single player, and story, but those do not make the game not worth getting.dolfan32323 likes this.

Honestly, the campaign wasn't that good. But there are few games that I can remember being as fun as Halo 3 4 player co-op on Legendary was.

Agreed, single player was no great.... But online multi player is my favorite FPS ever, and yeah, co op is loads of fun.
Side note here- According to Bungie only 2 people in the world have beaten it on legendary with all the skulls on. Its hard as hell.
Also the big update was today so the tweaked ranking system is out, possibly some new maps on the horizon as well. -

Really? What other game lets you throw out shields, shield drainers and such? Not saying others haven't done it, just wondering.
Overall I think its a decent point but what else are you supposed to do with a FPS? I mean it kinda is what it is, try and reinvent the wheel and you probably end up with a pretty crappy game.
They came up with a game with great maps, great multi-player, a decent set of vehicles, good graphics, good controls, a good balance of weapons and good game physics, especially with grenades.
To me that's a pretty awesome game. Not the best ever, and I can see how if you aren't a huge fan the massive hype would be irritating but for most people who like FPS's its a very fun game, with massive replay value. Its just fun.Stitches likes this. -
I understand your points, and don't ask me on what exactly he meant when he said it just overall consensus for the most halo did nothing ground breaking its just a solid shooter.
Yea it is a decent shooter I wont say its bad becuase its not. I just think its praised as a god send by many reviewers when its not that amazing. Its just solid. Most time I think reviewers are scared if they give it a slightly bad review their heads would be called for by fan boys.
The way I look at it release Halo on the pc and not xbox. Do you think it would of stood and been as popular as it is? I personally dont think it would of been near as popular. -
Goldeneye is revered for being such an amazing game (it has aged terribly by the way and would now be lucky to be considered garbage in my book), and I think overall Halo is far better then that game all around.
I frankly don't care if it would have been an average PC game, because I don't play on PC and this was the first FPS on a console that I was really hooked to, and I thought did well enough to keep my attention beyond the first play through. -
Can't really judge 2 games on completely different generations. I mean n64 and xbox pretty distant apart. Though I thought it was a good game but I won't say great either. I agree it didn't age the best.
Thats fine you enjoy it. Good for you. I never said it was bad. I was just stating its not as special as many make it out to be. Its a good game. I never said it wasn't but I won't say its great because in my opinion its not much different than many other fps shooters. Thats all.Motion likes this. -
I think it's because of how badly it aged. It aged REALLY bad. REALLY BAD. I can still pick up Mario 3, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 4, final Fantasy 6, and several other games that are much older than Golden Eye is and have a great time... Golden Eye is pretty horrible these days.

Exactly. Hell, I can pick up Mario 64 and play it, and it is pretty good. Goldeneye though? No, not a chance.

here's a breakdown of the trailer.
Basically the video shows ODST drop pods crashing into New Mombosa. Then the covenant ship Regret jumps to hyperspace in the atmosphere which destroys the city. Then one lone drop pod comes and crashes into the camera.

Kinda odd. I mean since when do you make a game with a main character..... And then make an expansion to the same game, set in the same place, but with a new main character? Which is what seems to be happening.
