Detroit Lions: Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia
I've received a few e-mails from Lions fans who told me they are praying that the Lions don't draft a quarterback first overall. Some want a defensive player. Some want a left tackle. Others want to trade down. A few even want a new owner.
Miami Dolphins: D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt
Collecting reject corners from other teams may sound like fun, but it really sucks once the opposing offense starts throwing all over you. Go figure.
As evidenced in the New England game, Miami's secondary is unquestionably one of the league's worst; the Dolphins rank 21st against the pass, giving up 7.2 yards per attempt. Click here for the most accurate Run and Pass Defense Rankings.
Miami Dolphins: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
The Dolphins have tried to fill the split end position with bums like Ernest Wilford and Derek Hagan, but ultimately they'll need to draft a larger wideout to complement Ted Ginn relatively early. At 6-4, 215, Kenny Britt definitely fits that description.

3 Defensive backs and one Wide Receiver with out first four picks? Ummmmm. NO
Apparently this guy has no clue our teams drafting strategy. They actually go into the draft with a plan unlike a team like the Lions with Millen running the team and just picking the names he knows in each round.padre31 likes this. -
Seriously, D.J. Moore with Cody, Sintim and Jerry still on the board in the 1st round. That would make me want to vomit.

Walterfootball isn't the best site out there unless you like the multitude of Mocks they present - which is a good thing.

I certainly wouldn't be unhappy picking D.J. Moore and Kenny Britt. Although if we passed on Terrance Cody and Peria Jerry, I'd sure like to know why.

Man. Walter Football is definitely a broken record with respect to the secondary. They aren't THAT bad. As I write this, they are ranked #19 in YPA. They need help but talk about overkill. Three out of the Dolphins' first four picks he has being DBs, and he just keeps citing the 21st ranked secondary as if consistent non-Porter pass rush hasn't been an issue for us all year.

I certainly won't mind it if we get Kenny Britt in any round. Barring a bad 40 time or workout, I just don't see him falling to the 2nd round though or Parcells spending a high pick on a WR.

And NFLDraftScout is great, looking through the Risers and Fallers one can have a really good feel for who we may pick 4th through 7th round.
They absolutely nailed Donald Thomas last Draft. -
While I agree with "Walter" that we need secondary help, from the ridiculousness of some of the picks he's allotted to other teams in that mock, I think he's full of it.

They're pretty accurate and comprehensive as well (though I personally clocked Matt Slater as 4.39 on his Pro Day while they have 4.44). -
This may be off-topic but any chance Donald Thomas learns to play center? He'd be ideal matching up straight up with NTs and has the athleticism to adjust as a C often has to do. It would create an easy fix with Satele moving to RG becoming the second pulling guard.

Two Cb prospects and a Safety would do, they could be later picks or even a UDFA at Safety. -
