The wrong coach. It's so clear that we should've hired Hue Jackson. The guy knows how to call an offense

Hue Jackson is a great coach. No one ever suspected otherwise.
I think Gase and Joseph are more than qualified coordinators. Joseph needs DBs and rushers. We need a lot of help in that area.
Gase just needs a QB that can read the defense and make throws. The assumption was we had that. Maybe we don't? :(dolphin25, Redwine4all, Colmax and 1 other person like this. -

Tannehill needs to get the ball out faster. He's got a great arm but he's just not ripping it the way NFL QB's have to. If he doesn't get better this year, it's probably over for him sad to say. He's got to fix this because it's a big part of why the offense stagnates.

Nevertheless, Vance is not a good DC, a modiocre DC can do a better job with this group. We don't have good personnel but still you have to be able to stop the Brown offense using their WR as a QB
We're gonna be screwed for a couple of years before Gase realizes his mistake and fires Vance and then we're gonna have to start all over again. Ugh
And to be honest, Gase is not a good OC. He's shown that much -
I understand the criticism but I gotta give the coaches a few games to install their schemes and figure out the players' capabilities.
The inconsistency of the team is pretty typical of a new staff. I just wish I was seeing more from the individual players themselves. There hasn't been a lot of play-making outside of Landry, Jones and Parker.Colmax likes this. -
I'm sitting here watching a listless Adam Gase on the sidelines as the Browns drive with 2 minutes to go. I think we can now see the position Philbin was in. Gotta feel like Gase expected more outta this roster. Multiple 3-and-outs in the 4th quarter back to back. Really quite pathetic.

All joking aside. We have seen the D-line absolutely stymie Wilson for most of the game in a very rowdy stadium all the way across the country. We have seen our rookie CB make some solid plays. Kiko (when not being overly aggressive and taking himself out of plays entirely) has made some big plays. I thought Maxwell finally showed up today in the second half, and made a couple of critical plays against a bigger receiver. Quddus has had a couple. McCain. The defense has had some really nice plays. They just don't have it quite together yet. I'm okay with that. I just hate that they allow these 3rd and longs or give up first downs with dumb penalties. They shoot themselves in the foot at times. So they need some work.
Offensively, the running game needs to really come together, and soon. Or else Tannehill is gonna end up with 5000 yards passing, and not in a good way. I hate to see him struggle right now, and he really needs to keep his head on a swivel. Watching his passing motion versus other QBs, I feel like his release is a little on the slower side, which doesn't help him when there's pressure. I really really like Tanny, but I fear he's going to turn into another Alex Smith. We'll see. When a few different coordinators cannot get the guy to make that turn, what's the damned common denominator? I have this suspicion it may just be Tannehill. I'm going to give him this year, but I hope by mid-season, we see a different QB out there.
On the coaching end, totally agree. They are getting a feel, so we should give them time. They do seem slow on in-game adjustments, but they're green. I am also a little wary of Gase calling all of the plays. I think it takes away from his 'feeling the game' in it's entirety. When your D is out there, and you're sitting with your QB, I think it takes away from him being a "head coach" a bit. -
hue jackson with one of the all time worst coaching decisions ever to not receive after winning ot coin toss

Its not as cut and dry as it seems under the new rules. If the team that gets the ball first scores a field goal then the other team knows they have 4 downs to work with to tie (or win). That can be an advantage.djphinfan and Redwine4all like this. -

Wait...isn't this the guy that everyone was singing praises of in the offseason?
Patience everyone...Not even a proven coach like Shula took the Dolphins to the promised land his first year in MiamiSuperself, RevRick, Pandarilla and 3 others like this. -

What irritates me to no end is that we constantly throw short on 3rd downs. 3 and 7 and we will always toss a 4 yarder and fall 2 yards later. If I had one thing I could fix instantly on this team magically it would be that on third downs receives actually run to or past the sticks!!!

People are already done with Gase after three games with a team most fans would agree we wouldn't make the playoffs? Hilarious.

I get the unrest. We have been constantly told the problems are this or that, and we have replaced a **** load of coaches. Each time we do were told we got the right guy for the job. Were not ready to be patient anymore. They have lost the ability to ask us to be patient since they constantly ask this and nothing has improved year after year. The fans are not going to wait for Gase to figure it out. They want Immediate results. Happens all over the NFL each year but never in Miami.

Gase will be fine.
If the running game and run defense get their crap together we will win 10 games. I'm serious. Those two things are the only things holding us back. The O-Line is a problem too, but not as much as those things I mentioned. -

Lol at fans saying Gase should be fired already. Like he was brought in as a free agent consultant to get Miami turned around in his first year. Smh.
