We are by far the worst team at reporting concussions:

There's no way we have that few compared to everyone else, unless there's something I don't know about.
This is unacceptable and this better change.

Well on offense the guy that takes the most hits is Tannehill and players aren't allowed to hit him in the head.

I definitely think it is possible to see such a disparity. It really comes down to a few things:
- Defensive technique. I don't see Miami defensive backs leading with the crown of their helmet. They seem to use safer technique.
- Types of routes run on offense. We actually see a lot of fans complaining that Miami doesn't use the middle of the field, or that they were throwing too many comeback routes.
I have no idea whats going on here - Miami definitely could be under-reporting, in which case there needs to be changes. But I do think its possible to see a disparity like we do.P h i N s A N i T y likes this. -

In a related story, Miami Dolphins FANS have the MOST reported concussions from repeatedly banging their head against the wall and muttering to themselves "Why? Why? Why?"

You don't find it peculiar that were three times below the NFL average? You would if it were the Patriots.
-
Did you see how badly we played this year? We were softer than a flaccid ***** on a cold winter day. I think it is very possible we had the least number of concussions this season
-
That has nothing to do with it. The Cardinals and Panthers are at the bottom of the list and they played their asses off.

The probability of us reporting 3.3 given the league average of 9.5 and the reported data is 1 in 48 (2.0866%). Either we're really lucky or really good at hiding concussions.

That's the probability (I didn't do the calculations but the range looks right) of randomly picking a team from the distribution in that figure with a 3.3 average or less.
Problem is there are 32 teams, so you have to ask what the probability is of at least one team out of 32 having a 3.3 average or less. And that turns out to be around 50% probability if your 2% is correct (just use the binomial theorem), so it's not at all unlikely to get one team out of 32 having a 3.3 average or less. -
No, its like the .34 kid that the average family has.

There were rumors that we were consistantly under reporting injuries throughout the Sparano regime. Maybe some of that has continued?
-
Have you seen our defense, we cant tackle air.. Lamar Miller has styed relativwly upright and healthy, never had a head on collision.. The only guy with a history of concussions is Jordan Cameron.
When you have weak linebackers like we do, we are soft, cant tackle ****, we arent going to get many concussions.
Our best tackler is oerhaps Reshad Jones and he has stayed healthy. -
It's because it's a three year period. Like if 3 were reported in 2013, 3 were reported in 2014, and 4 were reported in 2015, that would be an average of 3.33 per year.
-
You can't be this bad at protecting your QBs and have this low number of concussions officially reported.
-
You have to make tackles to get concussions on defense, so that explains that.
Ryan tannehill is made of adamantium, so that covers that.
And our wr never go over the middle and we don't run the ball.
Nothing newsworthy here -
Marcus Mariota
Arian Foster
Sam Bradford
Ryan Mathews
Matt Hasselbeck
Charlie Whitehurst
just from the top of my head players were hurt playing against us....to call us a soft team because WE had the least concussions in the NFL is a pretty stupid thing to doRock Sexton likes this. -
that doesn't really make any sense

We should probably dig up the thread after the Titans game (or was it the Texans?) when opposing players were complaining about how hard the defense was hitting. I bet we'll find some real nuggets in there lol.number21 likes this.
