Man Buffalo is going to kill us on sunday! Beck is garbage and not only did we blow it when we passed on Quinn, but also Trent Edwards. This kid is a bonafide stud and is going to own us for years to come just like Jim Kelly did.
0-16 is most certainly a reality. Screw Cameron, bring back Saban this offseason!!!

-
His one TD over 6 games is most impressive, without a doubt.:huh1:
-
Bring back Saban name says it all. Why we would even let Dick Satan on our campus ever is beyond me.
Beck is smarter and his mistakes came at a time when we had no backs to threaten a run. If a defense knows for certain you are gonna pass and the qb is a rookie, your in for some speedbumps. Edwards hasnt fared much better and has only dink and dunk.
Get over it -
Three games and you're calling Beck a bust? Give me a break... "The Sabanator" Pffft. Saban was sure going in the right direction, his first year at 9-7... second year... 6-10? That's sure not the direction I'd like to go in..
-
Lets see
Quinn, no minutes, a back up
Edwards 6 games 1 TD
Beck 3 Games no TD's
Can you explain how Edwards is so much better???????:confused2:
PS
Saban did a great job at Ala. :001_rolleyes: -
guys im sorry, but i want Dave Wannstedt back!
Dave didnt get a chance at all, the Dolphins screwed him over by not giving him any time to prove he can do good.....we went 10-6 with him!!
Cameron we are 0-12 so far
Saban we went, what...4-12?
i really think Wannstedt is better, Cam can make a good OC...with Mueller calling the draft, and Wannstedt being head coach. hey, Pittsburgh beat West Virginia :) -
I was going to wait to post until finheaven was back up but this post is just too tempting.
Beck is a bust already, that's more than funny.
Lets take a look at the offense for a second. We have a practice squad player starting at tailback. We have 2 journeymen tight ends, and zero seperation from our pathetic receiving corps. I can completely see how that's the qbs fault. He needs more than 3 games to make a fair evaluation of anyone. We are mess right now the rest of the season's purpose is really just to evaluate talent. But as fans go you are a "BUST". -

Unfortunately, in 2 of his first 3 games he did quite a bit of "dinking and dunking" , which gave him a reputation for a dink and dunk QB, yet he really isn't. If you look at his stats, since his first few games he has averaged 6.9 yards per pass. Brady's CAREER average yards per pass is 7.2. and Palmer's is about 7.3 So obviously he is not just a dink and dunk QB. Heck, stats aside, he threw a 30+ yard pass to Reed to set up the winning field goal last week and I believe he threw a 30 or 40+ yard pass to Evans earlier in the game.
Anyway, I guess you can just watch him and judge for yourself. I haven't had much of a chance to see Beck, so I'm excited to see him play this Sunday!Last edited: Dec 7, 2007 -
As for Crowder, I intentionally left him out because I think he's just an average player. A bigger, less sudden Morlon Greenwood that takes poorer angles.
3 Seasons: 1.5 sacks, 0 INTs, 2 FFs
As it stands right now, I think we'll let Crowder test free agency when his contract expires after next season. He won't command big money. And Charlie Casserly doesn't GM the Texans anymore. -
Although I do like some people here are High on Trent
I would not go crowning him yet.
But next year with Maybe another WR (Bryant Johnson/Malcom Kelly) and Martin Rucker in the draft and then I may crown him -
I liked Trent Edwards coming out and so did the Dolphins. He was right there with Beck on their board.
I don't pay too much attention to rookie QB stats, unless they're just gawdy. The speed of the game is such an adjustment for them. The positives tend to stick, whereas the negatives in their game you can't write down in stone.
Buffalo's got a pretty good offense around him. Big, solid OL with a borderline franchise LT, two very capable RBs (Lynch and Jackson). Legitimate speed outside with a true #1 WR. He's got some weapons.
Combined with our inablility to generate a pass rush with four men, Edwards might well be in for a good day statistically. -
If my car took as many wrong turns as Channing Crowder I'd need a new one every day. -

LOL. we just may set another NFL record. what is the quickest a team has completely turned over it's personel? looks like we might do it in two seasons... -
-
Trent Edwards has Lee Evans. John Beck has Marty Booker.
The Bills have a team that wins despite bad QB play. We have a team that would lose even if Beck threw 6 TD's. -

All I can say is ... WOW! So much hate out here in this thread... Why all the hate fellas? I know you may be angry about our record but to want SABAN and/or WANNY back?
It's 1 season guys... We HAD to go through it sooner or later... I would rather it be now at 0-12 than 3-9 or 4-8 or any other win loss you guys are looking for... Trust this old man on 1 thing right now... We WILL WIN at least 1 game before the year is out!!! I guarantee it!!! And that guarantee is based on what you are willing to sacrifice... I know I am going to win... What are you willing to lose? This need not be money, even though I will entertain that as well... We can always find a way like you have to make a post every day on how I was right and you were wrong on a daily basis or something else if you wish... -

Calling Beck a bust after 3 games is ridiculous.
-
Why don't we wait and say that after this Sunday's game?
-
Beck needs better talent around him.
Hagan a half broken Booker a rookie receiver in Ginn and running backs-laughable
it would have been nice to evaluate him with Brown and Chambers-who is still the teams leading receiver yet he has been gone for weeks -
must be bills fan in disguise

No no no....it's the 5 INTs and 9 sacks that is the MOST impressive
Here's more to impress:
