Well, it's Jets week

Yes it may be sad but 8-8 actually has a good chance at getting a playoff spot for the Steelers, Ravens or Dolphins. I'd bet on the Steelers, or well, whoever wins the game on Thanksgiving night between Balt and Pitt. One of these teams likely goes 9-7 though.
Funny thing is the Dolphins have beaten the Bengals and Colts, the two likely 3 and 4 seeds (unless one collapses). I doubt they'd do it twice though. Nobody takes either one seriously. Colts have a suspect Defense and the Bengals are still the Bungles.

I really don't understand the doom and gloom following today's loss. I understood it after the Bucs game. I got it after the Bills game. But this is a game that we were supposed to lose and it was a non-conference game. It hurt us in the win-loss collum but it really doesn't damage our playoff hopes all that much. It would've given us a leg up and afforded us a loss later on probably, but it didn't, by any means, kill us.
We go up to the Meadowlands and smack down the Jets, it sets up what is likely to be a playoff game vs. the Steelers the following week.
It's going to be us or Pittsburgh that gets that final playoff spot and it starts this week in Jersey.
**** the Jets!
Really? Wow,ok to each his own but all our second half collapses havent seriously gotten to you yet? I`ll be there rooting them on Sunday with all I got ,but ....damn this team drives me nuts.

Anyone here going? I'll be there! (When I agreed to go we were looking like we'd be better than 5-6...should've known better with a Fireland run team...) Usually like to watch on HDTV but figured I'd go this year for the first time.
DolfansNYC will have 700 in section 323 & 322. Giving out orange rally towels too! Doubt CBS camera pans up to show them though... I'm in 340 (I think). Hope to move over closer to them if Jets fans decide to stay home after their offense have two of the worst offensive games in NFL history against the Bills and Ravens.

I already have tix for in the lower bowl, but I'd love to get in on some of those orange rally towels!! Any info on where this group is gonna tailgate or hand em out would be appreciated!
DolfansNYC will be in Lot L (Yellow parking pass). I think they enter the same gate as I'll be, Pepsi Gate. Could always bring an orange hand towel or something! Can be like those annoying Steeler fans for one week. (As if they invented waving something around at a sporting event....)
They respond well to twitter and facebook comments if you need to ask them anything.

Have to keep the Jets under 17. Defense will need another spectacular outing.
I'm pretty sure we can beat the Jets with a safety.

I would put the entire coaching staff and Ireland on notice this week if I was Ross. If we can't beat the Jest with Geno Smith they would all be fired in the offseason. Period. This game should be a beat down, Geno Smith is the worst starting Qb in the entire NFL this year. If he beats us then this team and coaching staff has no confidence and no hope for the future. We have to win this game.
Chris ivory is banged up and might not play and geno smith is playing like the worst qb in the nfl now.No excuse to lose this game.

I'm feeling about as good as this one as I have all year. As goo as I did against the Browns opening day when I laid multiple units on the Phins as money line underdogs.
Geno Smith is not going to be able to drive the field consistently against our defense. They don't have a big play threat that matches up well to torch is deep so it's going to have to be sustained drives by a bad quarterback. And their line is just as bad as ours only they don't have a quarteback capable of making it look passable.
Antonio Cromartie is a SUCKER for the double move. If they match him on Wallace it'll be a silly move by the Jets an we'd be silly not to use that same out and up play action bootleg that worked against Carolina.
We're going to hit some big plays, we're going to get short fields from turnovers and we're going to win easy in this one.
Dolphins 27
Jets 6
I have a good feeling because I think our Qb and our staff may have realized that it's time to allow our Qb to be more than just a distributor...let this dude see if he has the instincts to make some plays in the last five games, lets see how far we get.

I expect to win too but these games are always wild. Who knows what can happen.
Right now the weather is supposed to be around 45 degrees with rain, but that can change a lot before Sunday.
I look at the Jets a lot like the Panthers without the explosive offense. I'm expecting a similar game plan. Quick passes and mixing in some long balls. Hopefully the running game can find some life this week, though it's one hell of a challenge.

We better hope Pouncey is back..

The only two things that can beat us are:
1.) Turnovers
2.) The Jets run game goes offAnd I really don't see either of these happening. Randy Starks is havin a tremendous year and we seem to be getting better vs. the run lately. And when a team can't throw and we can comit to stopping the run, we're successful. And Tannehill usually only has those ugly three pick games when he's asked to catch up and I don't think we'll get down big in this one.
I agree, with our ability to cover receivers and limit the tight end, they shouldn't score on us, chis ivory Is their only weapon that's worries me...we should hold them to 10 points or less.
if our staff and tannehill have now reached the point where the both trust each other that ryan will not escape the pocket to quickly then maybe we will see the full extent of our qbs skillset..
he's going to need to make plays with this dline coming at him..should be a good test for him individually

Don't overlook the fact Cromartie is injured too, and hasn't been playing well anyway.
Possibly this game could come down to the dolphins d-line vs. the jets d-line--- which one of them makes the most out of feasting on the opposing team's crappy offensive line???
(We have to admit that the d-line is one of the few good things going for the Jests)

Their defensive line is beastly. Their linebackers are solid. Their secondary kind of stinks.
They have a nice run offense but their passing attack is not good at all.
We got to make sure we stop their rushing attack. Force the game into Geno's hands and pressure the crap out of him.
Seriously, make him poop his pants. I want their QB to have poop in his pants by the end of the game.

While I agree with us needing to win and the team as a whole needing to rebound from that brutal loss to Carolina, this Jets team beat the Saints and the Patriots. They have the ability to win games if they don't need Geno to make a lot of plays.
