I have never used them. Don't get the attraction. I know many people that have used them legitimately but have had seriously problems coming off them. ( mostly women for some reason). Anyhow I just had a serious knee injury at work. Might knee (get it) Knee surgery in the near future. I was prescribed Hydrocodone over the weekend. All they did is make me nauseous horrible things that I flushed . I called him up and he called in a prescription of tramadol to the pharmacy. That was some good **** at first. A little light headed , not a cool feeling .......but then I got really itchy. Almost cut my legs scratching. It relieved the pain in my knee, but it was not worth the rest. I just threw these in the medicine chest . Don't get the attraction. I haven't tried marijuana since 1991. Don't they make a legal pain medication that offers the same simple results as Marijuana? Just relieve me of a little pain so I can get to sleep. That's it. Don't know why so many are addicted to this crap. Its awful.

They effect people differently.
I take hydrocodone for when I start having a kidney stone. Takes 90% of the pain away and I have no side effects at all.
Before Darvocet was banned, I was prescribed some for a throat infection and while it took away the pain, it made both my legs hurt so bad I had to crawl.
A lot of pain meds have addictive qualities. Its not that bizarre. -
Really is a case by case basis, I hurt my shoulder at the gym and was on Vicodin for a solid month. When I was out I tried to get more but that requires another visit to the doc. Wasnt worth it for me.
Maybe I was lucky, I certainly have my other vices...this GD board for example. I think my girl would rather I snorted bathsalts then spend the time I do on here.

Try to stay away from them if you don't need them. Addiction would be my main concern.
-
When you get them do you just take some pulls till it passes? -
I think it depends on your personality as well. -
Had no idea they're expelled that way.Boik14, Fin D, Colorado Dolfan and 1 other person like this. -
Eh, I've known a fair amount of people who'd take the things, some mellowed out on them, and other surprisingly got hyped up on them.
For myself, just never cared for them, sometimes keep a left over bottle of the things around the house for pain relief otherwise never bothered with them.
For me, they simply cause me to go numb, not a pleasant numb more a "hope you are not busy" numb. -
A lot of pain killers are opiates. As in opium, as in heroin. Which means physical as well as mental addiction.

Marijuana is a pain killer?

Vicodin (hydrocodone) contains codeine and tylenol. Codeine is a milder form of morphine. It does work quite well for me after multiple ankle surgeries and also migraines I get occasionally. I get nausea only when riding rides with my kids. You have much more to worry about from the tylenol

You mofos wanna feel pain? Try doing this below video TWICE A DAY FOR 3 MONTHS [but with 5 MORE FEET OF GAUZE]. When I had Epstein Barr Virus I had a Vitamin B12 injection become so infected I had to be put under to surgically remove it rather than simply excise and drain it, and it subsequently left a pocket the size of an orange in my right arse cheek.
Here's the excruciating breakdown of it:
Step 1. The inserted gauze adheres to the internal tissue and forms a scab.
Step 2. The gauze is ripped out [much faster than what this wuss had done]. The goal is to rip out the internal scab so it can bleed and scab over in order to heal itself from the inside out- layer by layer. Three friggin' months worth of layers. Otherwise you're left with a large pocket of air under the skin. The pain was so extreme during the first few feet of gauze ripping that it blew through the 80mg OxyContin I chewed 40 minutes prior. It sent me from high as a kite to sober within a span of 20 seconds, so the remainder of steps 2 through 4 had to be done commando style- biting down on a leather belt. BTW, I originally started with Dilaudid 4mg, and taking 5 at a time wasn't enough to touch the pain.... but I did feel pretty darn good for the 10 or 15 minutes before the nurse arrived.
Step 3. Wrap a piece of rough gauze around a wooden Qtip, then stick it in the wound and scrape it around to ensure ALL the internal scabbing is removed and to also get the blood flowing to it. Imagine the pain involved of having a bullet carefully removed without local anesthetic, then multiply that pain by fifty because your nurse is intentionally trying to f--k your sh-t up.
Step 4. Repack the wound with fresh gauze. This means stuffing 6 feet of gauze back into a wound that's just been massively traumatized. Note: If you weren't on the verge of passing out during Steps 2 or 3, you are now.
Step 5. Repeat 89 more times..... or ask for death.

(Not sure why his wife/gf didn't pull all of the gauze out. Guy was just gettin' to fun part.)
Here's a wimpier version of it with a 3 foot piece of skinny ribbon. Gross to watch.

Phinsational.........WTF? Sorry about that bro. Can't even imagine. MRI went OK. Patella-femoral joint is the diagnosis. My Knee is not stable. Good news they do not believe surgery is needed. Gonna get some PT , I might have to go for a brief cleanout if it doesn't improve though. Basically there is damage to the cartilage that serves as cushion under the kneecap. I have flat feet and Dr said that after time that will catch up with you. All my running didn't help. Might have to get some inserts for my shoes. Getting older sucks...........I'm currently scratching myself because of the Tramadol BTW..............
