Like when Joe Banner and Jimmy Haslam held that press conference to explain the firing of Chud...lol I would love if someone there were to read out loud some of the fans comments on the state of the franchise.
If you were there and able to ask Ross one question, what would you ask? I'd ask him how it feels to own a franchise that's considered a laughingstock around the league.

I would want to ask how long is Hickey's leash?

I want to ask if Aponte is spankable if not ask if they would hire a supermodel to help ease our suffering.

I'd ask what Philbin has done to inspire such confidence that he won't allow GM candidates to evaluate his success and decide his fate.
As a follow up question I'd ask what makes him think he has the ability to evaluate coaching performance when he has no history in the game. -
Meh, not interested in that kind of drama. Ross should've gone after Deion Sanders for GM position. But since that was not on the table, the process yielded an acceptable GM. Ross did pursue a lot candidates. many of them declined interviews. Of thos who did not and who actually interviewed, I liked Xanders the best. But the other ones were no better than Hickey. Ross did alright, other than the fact that he got the list from Peterson, instead of going to Deion straight.

Actually, after the past 3 years, I don't think he's capable of that type of hire. So nevermind. -
I wish Huizhenga was still owner.. The guy may have failed, but one thing he always kept was our integrity and reputation. No matter how bad things got for us, coaches and players were lining up wanting to work for this franchise so badly, they knew Wayne was respectable and would do ANYTHING to win, unfortunately for him he missed each time but even though we were mediocre, we were still a respected franchise. Now we're mediocre and a joke.
He got names like Jimmy, Saban, Parcells to come on board. They all failed us but do you think Ross is capable of such hires? The past 3 years says no (Harbaugh, Fisher, GM's). Always has to settle with option 5. -

Huizenga was a terrible owner right up too and including his last act of selling the team to Ross.

Besides, why would any of you feel comfortable giving all those unproven candidates THAT much power? -
Huizenga made took some aggressive calculated risks on big time talents.
They just imploded in Miami. He had a ridiculous amount of bad luck along with the very bad decision of trusting JJ's assessment of Wanny.
Guy was always trying to bring the best to Miami however.Da 'Fins and Clark Kent like this. -
Huizenga meant well, but he didn't know anything about football. Ross means well also, but he's not just ignorant of the game, he's a complete idiot.

In all fairness to Wayne though (I agree with Coral Reefer), all his mistakes were in hindsight. Did anyone truly hate JJ coming to Miami? Anyone truly hate Saban coming to Miami, being Belichick 2.0? And while I didn't love Parcells coming to Miami as a coach (not his ability, all the rest of his BS), I certainly liked the idea of him as a football czar who would get us a legit coach (ala Sean Payton) and GM. I think most people did. I didn't imagine he would epic fail as badly as he did. There was a ton of bad luck with decisions that seemed terrific on the surface.
With Ross, everything he's done is questionable up front. Whether it's recruiting Harbaugh while still having a coach and FAILING to secure the deal or failing to get 6+ of your top GM candidates and settling for Hickey. He can't even pass the smell test.MonstBlitz, DPlus47, Da 'Fins and 1 other person like this. -

Ross has his hands too involved and he knows less than Wayne. And, I don't think the league respects Ross whereas I think they respected Wayne H. -

You're right it isn't, he made his money using loopholes in the federal tax system and housing markets. That doesn't take intelligence, he basically manipulated the system. -

Stephen Ross is basically an idiot savant. -

Yup, Wayne was the greatest thing since sliced bread. At least he tried!! -
