Simple question. Which Johnson scares you more? Chris or Andre. We face them both in back to back games, while fighting for our playoff lives. Which one will create the most problems for us?
Chris Johnson is simply faster than everyone. You don't need a complex offense when you have Chris Johnson. He makes a standard conservative rushing attack just as explosive as any vertical passing game in the league. He can burn you inside, outside, rushing, or receiving. One missed tackle will cost you 6 points. Two missed tackles is 12 points. Three missed tackles and you lose. Can the Dolphins play an entire game of solid, disciplined, physical run defense? They did very well against Maurice Jones-Drew last week. Miami stopped Michael Turner but were beat by Tony Gonzalez. And that theme continued throughout the season. The theme has been the Dolphins stopping the run, but floundering against the pass. Which leads to Andre Johnson...
Big physical WRs and TEs combined with a true franchise QB have been a nightmare for the Dolphins. I could list them all, but I don't want to make you cry. If we played them, we got burnt by them, and lost. Only once has Miami beat a team with a high power passing offense this season. That was against New England, and even then we were exposed badly. Andre Johnson is the biggest of the big, and he is extremely physical. He had his way with us last year, and was easily the difference between winning and losing in that game. Some #1 WRs can be neutralized by a solid game plan and smart coverage. Andre Johnson is not one of those guys. He is getting his. And if you don't have the talent to cover him at any spot on the field, he will find that spot 20 times.
Tennessee lacks a dimension beyond Chris Johnson that can get them points. Vince Young is the closest thing to that, and I am scared of what he could do as well. But Vince is not 100%, and will not be effective in the option game with a sore hammy. Kerry Collins doesn't scare me any more than David Garrard did, which wasn't much. I think we can focus solely on stopping Chris Johnson, and live with whatever else they are able to get. But with Andre Johnson, I'm afraid we simply won't be able to stop him because of our inability to do exactly that throughout the entire season to this point.
I'm far more scared of Andre Johnson than Chris Johnson. But I say that with great respect for both players.

Chris Johnson, and it's not even really close. He'll have a lot more touches that Andre. I'm also very confident in our corner play, whereas I don't think that our linebackers match up very well at all with Chris Johnson. Not that many do.

The obvious answer is Chris, because if we don't beat the titans, there won't be much to fear about the texans cause that game will have lost a lot of its value.
But also, the loss of Owen Daniels makes Andre johnson less scary. We have not been able to cover TEs at all, and one that would have been wide open because of Andre would have been especially dangerous. Andre will probably get his yards but we can beat the rest of the texans offense i think.dolfan7171 and GISH like this. -
Andre. Because I have more faith in the Dolphins Run D

I fear Andre Johnson more. I have more confidence in JT, JP, Soliai, Randy Starks, Channing Crowder and co. in stopping the run more than Sean Smith, Vontae Davis, Gibril Wilson and co. covering the deep ball.

actually, for us and this team .... its Andre - because he lights us up every time we play HOU. We can find an answer for Chris .... he can get his yards and still not score TDs. Andre gets his yards and sets up or scores against us.
who do i want on this team ... Andre ... it's just what we need.
i believe, just as well as the FO - that you can plug and play RBs to a point ... you just can not do that with WRs .... Andre is worth his weight in gold. -
Chris Johnson shouldn't scare anyone. It's the Titans offensive line who's the real star of that running game, IMHO. Johnson just has the speed to take advantage of the great blocking he's getting up front.

Our secondary is known for giving up big plays. AJ is known for making them. He's always been the matchup from hell for us; and more so this year.
-
Great question. Both tremendous players but; IMO, anybody picking Chris Johnson over Andre Johnson -
a.) Isn't properly factoring in our strengths and weaknesses on defense,
b.) Didn't see Andre Johnson's performance last week, which is forgivable as he was playing at the same time as the Dolphins, or
c.) Doesn't remember that grab he made on 4th down against nearly perfect coverage to help steal the win from us last year vs. Houston, in which case (sorry in advance for dredging up a painful memory) -

It's possible that Chris Johnson has the better game. But on paper, Andre Johnson scares me more. As GISH correctly points out, big physical receivers / tight ends have been a problem for this defense all season while we have been having quite a bit of success against some great RBs. -
Both are scary but it's easier to sell out and stop a running game than a passing game b/c of the rules. That's why the Wanny team's always failed.

Chris.
Andre can be rendered useless with a good pass-rush. Chris Johnson can singlehandedly beat you, I can't say the same for Andre. -
Not even close for me, Andre. Receivers have killed us alot more than running backs this year, and I'm alot more confident in our run defense than pass defense.
Not to mention Andre Johnson made us his own personal highlight film last year.dolfan7171 and jetssuck like this. -

Andre Johnson owns us. Enough said.

Andre Johnson of course. CJ is a great player but our Run D is very solid. The same can't be said about our pass D. Not to mention I still have nightmares about last years Texans game...

the new miami dolphins play w/o fear
they punish the opposition
on the ground or in the air
offense or defense, doesn't matter
no one wants a second game after the first experience
relentless & brutal: there will be blood :couch: -
cj....only cause we play him first. ask me next week. and i may answer differently :shifty:

They both worry me, but Andre has torn us up time after time. He is a great WR in my opinion.
-
We pulled that bluff around here for a while too. "Focus on Ricky Williams and the combination of Jay Fiedler, Randy McMichael, James Mcknight, and Chris Chambers will kill you."
Now you are probably asking yourself, "Who are they?"
To which I say, "Exactly."padre31 likes this. -

Chris J hasn't faced us so I would say he doesn't scare me (yet)?
Andre has burnt us in the past and we haven't beat them at all.I say him.
All Y. Bell had to do was knock the ball down on that 4th down against them and we would of won the game. That play still kills me.:pity: -
-
I'm much more scared of Andre Johnson than Chris Johnson at this point. The Dolphins have only allowed 2 100 yard rushers all season, Thomas Jones and DeAngelo Williams. Conversely, our secondary, which has shown promise, has been very inconsistent. This translates into us being only 22nd in the NFL against the pass.
-
if you think about it, CJ has schooled almost every team we played this season, Andre has a few big games, but some games he is a no show.
Who would you fear more if CJ and Andre was both on the same team? -
Andre Johnson is primed to murder us this week. -
-
CJ didn't run us in the ground ... AJ will out produce CJ in the air this weekend -- and that worries me alot about this game. This game will show who is more dangerous and feared - at least for our current team ... and that is AJ.
-
If anyone thought Vince Young to Justin Gage was deadly, wait till Sunday. Schaub to Johnson is going to hurt.
-
We won't have eight to nine men in the box this time and Schaub is less of a threat to run (it hurts saying that). I'd rather face Andre Johnson then a full load of talented players from Tennessee. Not to mention Houston's line is also worse than that of the Titans.
