It's draft week and prediction time. What player is your official prediction for our Dolphins at 15?

I'm going with Mallett. backup pick is Pouncey. our 2 biggest need areas IMO.
If we trade down, I still don't see us taking Ingram. -
Trade down, get Ponder somewhere in the 20s of the First Round.
I'm a sucker for the Universaldraft boys. They made a great case for Ponder and I'm buying it.RevRick likes this. -
I say we draft Scott Tolzien and end this quarterback madness. Draft the answer now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I predict Miami won't be picking 15th. I think they'll go with someone pretty unexpected later in the first.

I don't think we pick at #15. I believe we trade down. We've done it the past two years and I don't see us bucking the trend now. We've got to pick up a 2nd round pick.
I say it's Mark Ingram somewhere in the mid-late 20s range. -
Mallett(if he's there) or trade down.
-
Trade down to the 2nd round and pick up Taiwan Jones

I believe we trade down...and get back our second rounder.
Chicago and Seattle are my targets....and we take either Ponder or CK in the late first round....
I believe Mallet is gone by 15..... -
As everyone else has said, I think we will trade down.
As for the pick I think our fist pick will be Pouncey, then with the 2nd rounder best RB available. -

And if we pick Taiwan Jones anywhere before rd 4, I'll be upset I think. -

I think it will be either: Ryan Mallet, Anthony Castonzo, or Aldon Smith and my complete upset dark horse pick that will bring down the house, Aaron Williams as a FS (brings back the Jason Allen nightmares)

Stan Larino.

A top defensive player who falls, Pouncey, Ingram, or Ryan Williams.
Ireland learned his lesson once about over-drafting QBs (Pat White) so I don't see him taking a 2nd rounder in the 1st round this year. Forcing QBs into the first round does not make them first round talent; instead, the greater expectations only set them up for failure. There will be a few coaches looking for new jobs in 2-3 years who take these guys in the first round. -

Have we met with Pouncey? Didn't he refuse to meet with us or am I crazy?
-
Ten seconds after pick #14, I am writing down the name RYAN MALLETT, and giving it to the Commish.
-
If they go with a QB, I think it will be Christian Ponder. He seems to have more of what they are looking for than the other guys.
I'm not convinced they go quarterback though. If you look back at their track record, there are a few guys that stand out based on what they have done in the past. Yes, I know Ireland will be his own man now, but I highly doubt he is going to drastically deviate from the way things have been in his first three years.
I'd keep my eye on Gabe Carimi and Anthony Castonzo on the offensive line, and I wouldn't be surprised if they went for a pass rusher and took a guy like Brooks Reed after a trade down. -

I doubt Mallett makes it to 15; I said it before and I stand by it. At least 10 of the 14 picks being made ahead of us will be by teams in need of a franchise QB, and all of them aren't going to be stupid enough to let one pass while they pick the next Roy Williams.

Not to say I don't respect the draftniks and what they do; I do. They don't get to be who they are, doing what they do by being wrong all the time.
But it just doesn't make sense that if a kid has all the tools, mental and physical, 10 teams needing their guy at THE most important position to winning a championship would pass on someone like Mallet.
And if it happens and he falls to us at 15 and we don't take him, I guarantee that he won't fall farther than where the Colts pick, or you'll see NE use one of their 2 picks on him. Because those are two teams uniquely clued in to the fact that you don't win championships without a championship-caliber QB, and chances are they won't see a player of Mallet's caliber in the draft anytime before their guys retire. -
