If Jake Long makes the pro bowl this year is a friggin joke and more proof the entire thing is a farse. When he was on IR and made it last year that was a friggin sin.
We were not great today but just the same it was a good game. A few more things go our way, we get the W.
Thats why I put up what I did. Not pissed at anyone for the loss today but its getting pretty evident, Jake is no longer the Jake we all want him to be. I am told he is leading in pro bowl voting again. I cannot verify that but as I said, if he makes the pro bowl its a joke and no, do not ask me who is better then him because this year there are quite a few.

Jake Long = Tracy McGrady

The Pro Bowl has always been a joke. All-Pro is all that really matters.

The one player who will make the pro bowl this year though is Brandon Marshall. He had nine catches today for 122 yards and 3 TD's. Unfortunately he did it for the Bears and not the Dolphins. Of course Egnew, the player taken in the third round with one of the picks from the Bears for Marshall, looked good standing on the sidelines in civilian clothes. Maybe one of these days his will actually be active for a Dolphin regular season game.
Every time I see the stats he is putting up for the Bears. I can't help but wonder how much better the Dolphins passing offense would be if Tannehill had him as his primary receiver. Like him or not, he is far better than any other receiver on the Dolphins at this time. -

Forget everything that Philbin has done so far, all of that is stupid and pointless and doesn't mean ****. Forget discipline. Forget professionalism. Forget buying into the system. Forget being right for a system. Hell, forget systems altogether. All you need is talent, that's it, nothing more. Every talented player should be brought in. I doesn't matter if they have issues. Who cares? Talent, talent, talent. Punch his wife? Who cares if he has talent. Breaks laws? Who cares if he has talent. Destroys continuity in the locker room? LOL who cares, continuity in the locker room is pointless all you need is talent. He makes it impossible to coach? Who cares if he has talent. Drops 5 TDs? Who cares if he has talent. Forces your offense to become one dimensional otherwise he throws tantrums on the sideline? Who cares if he has talent.
Nothing in football matters but talent according to you guys. **** guys like Zach Thomas who were successful because they work harder then anyone else, he wasn't talented so he sucked.
Hell forget the fact our offense sucked & our team sucked with Marshall. Who cares he has talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Talented players are just interchangeable puzzle pieces. They fit anywhere, anytime and under any circumstance. Right guys?????Paul 13, P h i N s A N i T y, Boik14 and 3 others like this. -
What you've done is successfully remove the human factor, ala Madden Football style, by assuming everything he's doing in Chicago, including his seeming attitude change through the midway mark, would've been duplicated here despite Brandon's volatile mental state and past in Miami pointing to a different conclusion. -
With Marshall on the team last year. He and Bess, the teams two leading receivers, combined to catch 132 of the 280 passes completed by the Dolphins in 2011. This was less then 50% of the completed passes.
Based on the statistics, it appears that the offense this year is less reliant on spreading the ball around to different receivers than it was when Marshall was a member of the team. I guess this" spread the ball around" offense sounds like a new approach to the offense, until you actually check the facts. The facts just don't match the propaganda spread by those who say this is an offense built around spreading the ball around to different receivers. If only two receivers are going to get the ball thrown to them most of the time, as has been happening. Yes, I would rather one of those receivers be Marshall. -
By the way, if you can't figure out how to find the stats for 2011 and 2012. Go to ESPN and put in Miami Dolphins Statistics for 2012. It will show you their stats for this year so far and they also list their stats for previous years. Perhaps when you see it in black and white, it will make sense to you.MrClean likes this. -

If you actually did then like I said, you don't understand what you're talking about.
You said we spread the ball around more with Marshall. That is wrong. 100% wrong.
Marshall had 81 catches.
Bess had 51 catches
Hartline had 35 catches
Bush had 43 catches
Fasano had 32 catches.
There is no possible way to see those numbers and defend your point. None. -
-
I can defend my numbers all day. I just can't stand arguing the point with you anymore, because you would recognize the facts if they were printed on your head. have a nice day. -
Marshall: 59 catches
Forte, Bennett, Jeffery, Hester, Davis: 73
**makes Brandon happy
Miami distribution under Daboll (which is less evenly distributed than Philbin's in GB IIRC)
Marshall: 81
Bess, Hartline, Bush, Fasano, Clay: 177
**makes Brandon sad
We don't want sad Brandon, which is likely the one we would've had. -
Who gives a flying **** about Marshall???? Honestly, ****ing let it go, goddamn! He is NOT a Dolphin, so he does NOT matter.

I don't want top 5 WRs on my team...that's a terrible thing.
