I guess greenbay defenders are wasting their careers with rodgers.

When you can post reports (even rumors) of Rodgers' teammates saying stuff like "he can't make every throw" or "he's only going to take us so far" or "I'm wasting my career here" then let's have that conversation.
Oh, and Rodgers won a SB throwing 3 TD passes and being a key reason for GB winning the SB. He also played really well in many (not all) of GB's recent playoff losses. Last year he threw for 3 TDs and 1 INT with a 101.6 rating in the loss to Tampa. Can't really put that on Rodgers. If you have a chance to replace Tua with Rodgers you do that immediately. Then WE can finally be SB contenders! -

Yeah, I've no interest in this sort of talk. This could be all sorts things depending on context vs quotation, mindset/mood etc. And even if totally genuine and accurate it could be sour grapes.
Tua has to hear people talking behind his back...
I don't care if this guy (if he exists) is right, you're a professional, do your job, be a good teammate, raise your concerns with the relevant GM or coach, and honour your contract.

Edit: And, how many years it was before he became elite? -
Well look if we're being honest with ourselves here I'm sure it's not just one player thinking that right now. If this story is indeed true (Omar Kelly) then thats a pretty telling indictment of our current QB situation. Likely also puts some truth to the story that came out on Flores being upset with Tua's preparation or lack thereof during the week. Where there's smoke there's typically fire, but in this case it's Omar setting the fire however I'm not so sure this kind of comment from another player would be hard to believe especially given how the defense carried this team again this year.

Where was this defensive player when we let the Raiders score 31 points on us? Or the Bucs score 45? When did his career become all that great? Our defense was way overrated.

It's just effin stupid to put that kind of anonymous quote out there. There are plenty of QBs that didn't light the world on fire this year, yet it seems to only be one disgruntled player on Miami that feels the need to throw that kind of comment out?
Seriously, shut the EFF up and either demand a trade or release if you can't handle your job. Whining to the media like a B**ch.
Anyone else remember Elandon Roberts on the sideline with Tua? I'll take that over anonymous quotes. -

Drafting a quarterback in the top 10, or top 5 for that matter is ALWAYS a craps shoot. Going back 20 years and looking at every quarterback drafted that high…
Michael Vick
David Carr
Joey Harrington
Carson Palmer
Byron Leftwich
Eli Manning
Phillip Rivers
Alex Smith
Vince Young
Matt Leinart
JaMarcuss Russell
Matt Ryan
Matthew Stafford
Mark Sanchez
Sam Bradford
Cam Newton
Jake Locker
Andrew Luck
Robert Griffin III
Ryan Tannehill
Blake Bortles
Jamie’s Winston
Marcus Mariotta
Jared Goff
Carson Wentz
Mitch Trubitsky
Patrick Mahomes
Baker Mayfield
Sam Darnold
Josh Allen
Josh Rosen
Kyler Murray
Daniel Jones
Joe Burrow
Tua Tagovailoa
Justin Herbert
Trevor Lawrence
Zach Wilson
Trey Lance
ALL 39 of these quarterbacks were selected in the top 10 of their respective drafts. Cut this list down to the top 5 of their drafts and it becomes a who’s who list of mostly nobodies.
On the flip side of this same coin, shuffle some of these draft picks around…
Mahomes gets drafted by Chicago instead of Trubitsky. Anyone truly think with how dysfunctional the Bears are that he’s going to be just as successful?
Mayfield gets drafted by the Jets instead of Darnold. Mayfield still going to have the success he’s had? Or even Josh Allen for that matter?
And finally, had Justin Herbert been drafted by the Dolphins instead of Tagovailoa…does anyone really truly think we would be any better off?
The two points I’m making here is one, the draft is no guarantee. Of the 39 quarterbacks drafted in The top 10 over the last 20 years, only a handful are household names and even fewer have reached the top of Mount Lombardi. There’s no guarantee.
Secondly, those who have had that success are/were on great teams with great coaches that set them up for that success…even that scrub Eli Manning (sarcasm). To play could’ve should’ve would’ve is silly. With the Dolphins being such a jacked up, horse’s a$$ dysfunctional organization that it is, NONE of these 39 quarterbacks would have made a bit of difference in our tarnished recent history. -
Again, though I'm not listing all the examples I've listed over the years, the best evidence for what a QB can do is when an elite QB changes teams. The best example is Peyton going to Denver. Coach didn't change, most of the rest of the team didn't either, and they go from a consistently ranked bottom 1/3 offense to top 2 for 3 years in a row!! But no, according to you it's the rest of the "team" not the QB.
RIDICULOUS!Last edited: Jan 24, 2022 -
And Yes, Herbert would have been successful here as well, certainly would have played a lot better that Tia has, and Allen would have been successful pretty much anywhere he went, same with Mahomes. They might not have had quite the overall success they've had so far, but they would have played great none the less. Truly great players always shine through, regardless of adversity.
Tua is no that type of great player unfortunately, and Grier deserves all the **** he gets for making a dumb pick, among his many dumb picks and decisions. -
Yet again, you all COMPLETELY missed the point
-
yes, herbert would have made the difference.
can we stop with the drew brees comparisons when evaluating short quarterbacks btw? Drew was very accurate, very intelligent on the field, had off the charts mechanics. He can come out of retirement right now and he would have a stronger arm than Tua, and Drew’s arm wasnt even that strong..
