I have no real dislike for the Phins, and as an outsider I wanted mention a few things:
1. Henne/Thigpen look like Ok QB's but how can anyone be sure as the game plans never seem to go to their strengh (I say this because the Play calling in the games I saw was just god awful.)
2. Poorly using your RB's... I don't think Brown and Williams forgot how to run in a year so my guess is the OC failed to utilize them properly (or for better terms get them on mismatches by being spread out as a WR.)
3. Guys SMILING when getting their butts handed to them by the Pats 2nd string!!! (I am sorry I be ticked if I was a Phin fan and saw this... I despised Adalius Thomas for the same reason guy never seemed to care!)
That said I think the #1 need for the Phins is a good OC like a Charlie Weis or even Josh McDaniels (I don't know if EITHER would go to the phins esp McDaniels do to loyalty to BB, But I don't know.)
IMO if you get a good OC and Henne still struggles you know he is the problem, but with the current OC seems the Play calling was just BAD! Mind you I think Marshall has the Randy Moss disease.

Mostly on here for sure. We have *****ed about the playcalling all season.
As far as Weiss he took the Florida OC gig. Wouldn't mind McDaniels at all as an OC -
Mcdaniels, Noland and Marshall reunited.....not going to happen.

Its good to know that even opposing fans can see how awful our play calling was this year.
-
The bad OC calling makes it so very hard to fairly judge Henne. Henne's psyche right now makes it equally hard to judge Henne going forward.
But we have a few OC candidates that could properly fix what ails this offense, even if Sparano is retained.
Now, if Harbaugh is HC, he could bring his Stanford OC. That could work since this draft should be rookie Oside heavy, and thus they could relate to this fresh youth. Also, the vets that remain, are professional vets in many ways and would make young coaches welcome.
We need an exciting offense, and that alone would make Oside minds meld and gel as the ball gets to the playmakers to not have to have them whine and complain.
could be win/win going youth on Oside coaches and draft talent.MarinePhinFan and ToddsPhins like this. -
Yup, you pretty much nailed it. Thanks for the confirmation...

From another outsider: I think the Dolphins need to seriously cut their losses with Henne and Sparano. Man up and bring in a new coaching staff, aside from Nolan, and draft a QB in the first round (why are the Dolphins afraid of doing this?) like Mallett (prob. won't be there) or Cam Newton.
Henne doesn't have to be cut/traded, he's just not the answer at QB. He can backup whomever Miami drafts.Frumundah Finnatic and MonstBlitz like this. -
You can replace "Henne" with "Sanchez" in that sentence....and Miami with "New York".and MarinePhinFan like this. -

LMAO
Throw Sanchez on the Dolphins this year, and see what he looks like. Henne might not have lit the world on fire this year, but Sanchez sucks too. -
BTW, Flacco did it, didn't he? And Matt Ryan? Marino got his team to the Super Bowl in his second year. Brady won the Super Bowl his first year starting.Auburn likes this. -
This is why I love the Jets fans. You give Henne, Santonio Holmes, Cotchery and Braylon Edwards and see how does. Even with all those weapons the Jets lost 10-6 to us and 45-3 to NE. Good luck vs. Indi, where Freeney and Mathis will eat the Sanchize alive. Jets talk a lot of bravado for a team that has accomplished absolutely nothing.

Jury is still out on whether Sanchez will be a top QB, but you can win with him. But why are we debating Sanchez?

Because some silly Jets fan claimed that Sanchez has essentially taken the Jets to the playoffs on his back the last two seasons. Last year, he was a huge liability. This year, he had Holmes taking 10 yards slants, and turning them into 50 yard game winning tds.
-
Well, as much as it pains me I gotta agree with the Jets fans here. After this season, Dolphins fans are delusional if they think Henne is better than Sanchez. Give Sanchez some credit where it is due. He won the Jets a couple of games in the 4th quarter this year, I don't care how bad the teams were that he beat. He's far from an elite QB, but as of right now I'd say the Jets at least have a QB they can win some games with.

Like I said, HOLMES won some games in the fourth. Sanchez wasn't throwing 50 yard td bombs to win games. He threw slants to Holmes, and he did all the work.
If Sanchez were on the dolphins, and Henne on the Jets, we'd still be having this same argument. -

BTW, Henne is 3-1 against Sanchez in his career. So, he's got that.
