Please post up to three nominations for the following categories. YES, You CAN nominate someone that has already been nominated. I will use my best judgment to come up with five finalists for each category (except Rookie GM of the Year, all rookie GMs will be deemed finalists). Because I will be the final decision on the finalists, I won't nominate anyone unless it is solely to get us up to 5 nominations. You cannot nominate yourself.

Do Not Nominate, I will list all rookie GM's Rookie GM of the Year (only first year GMs are eligible)
Nominations end on May 20th at 11:59PM EST. Final Voting will begin on May 21st at 12:01AM EST (or shortly after).
If a player/team that you wish to nominate has already been nominated... please nominate that team/player again. I will cut the finalists down to five and if a team/player has multiple nominations, it will be easier to whittle down to five.
Note: I removed the Most Improved GM category as, in the past, many GM's that were nominated found it offensive.

Will make another post for the rest of my nominations later. I'd have nominated myself for a vouple if I could LMAO.
I have a new idea for an award as well. Maybe too late this year but how about a "Most balanced team" in other words one where both sides of yhe ball are solid instead of going all out one way or another.Paul 13, BuckeyeKing, sports24/7 and 1 other person like this. -
I want to preface this by saying that I want to spread the votes around because everyone likes being nominated for categories and alot of people deserve shout outs. Also there were quite a few teams that I thought did a very solid job of rebuilding their team, but not necessarily the best in any category.

We need two more categories: Most Improved Team andBest Team Depth
Most Improved Team is a must IMO and should fall secondary in hierarchy only to GM of Year. It's only fair to have an award based on how well GMs specifically did with the team they inherited irrespective of how their finished product stacks up against the rest of the league. Basically, who did the best job of taking what they got and made it better across the board in true NFL fashion? This would be great and better motivating for GMs who are given bottom tier teams, heavily cap strung ones,
or ones with less trade ammo to make an impact.
Best Team Depth would be important as well, IMO, not just b/c of injury but also because it represents the future of the team, especially with FA eventually kicking some higher priced players to the curb. -
My only issue is like he said moving Cobb and I think you took a step back at HB. -
I definetly agree with Best Team Depth. Like I mentioned in my nomiations post there are teams that did a very good job overall, but they don't have the best in any particular category.
For the overall best GM award, I don't vote who necessarily finished with the best team. I take into account the team that the GM acquired (I remember last year I voted for Jacksonville, who didn't have the best overall team, but did the best job), so this award wouldn't be much different for me.ToddPhin likes this. -
Filling in a couple missed nom's:
Trade of the Year Absolutely Has To Be The Cleveland Gordon Steamer:
San Francisco Sends:
Michael Crabtree ($4,770,443)
1st (30)
2nd (61)
3rd (75 (from RAMS))
7th (219)
7th (220)
Browns Send:
Josh Gordon ($1,456,813)
In a one year league to get that kind of a haul for someone who will not even play the year..................damn.
Best Offensive Weapons:
Eagles - Deserve at least a nomination. 4 Nice Receivers, Solid running backs and TE's.Paul 13, BuckeyeKing, Finfangirl and 1 other person like this. -
These were all tough choices because a lot of GMs did a great job. I mostly only gave noms on things like FA and Trades to people that listed that information (or at least color coded them) on their post.
