KC with 542 yards and 6 TDs. I also saw Amendola and Hightower have injuries.

Anyway.. too soon to declare NE's demise but that was one of the rare times I've seen that team start to collapse (as often happens with other teams). Great start to the season!resnor, danmarino, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -
It's just ONE game, but it sure looks like we can challenge the Pats for the division. At the very least, that 19-0 foolishness is now over and done. :)Tin Indian, Idahophin, resnor and 1 other person like this. -

Saints are next. Looks like 600 yards of offense. Can you imagine 0-2?

Jay Ajayi is going to be absolutely critical in our matchups with New England. We saw Kareem Hunt force them to crowd the box, which opened up big plays for Alex Smith and the passing game. This is the blueprint, and if Dont'a Hightower is out for any significant amount of time, it becomes very replicable.
That said, did anyone notice how quickly that stadium cleared out? Spoiled fans don't know how to take a loss! Priceless.danmarino, resnor, Bpk and 1 other person like this. -

Yeah the NFL newtork analysts had them go in 14-2 and blowing clear thru everyone till game 10 or something. I believe the 2 games were Pitt and....someone else in the AFC lol. Raiders maybe. Anyway, good to see them drob the first one that wasn't expected and still have other teams out there with potential to slow them down...god willing we give them two more ourselves.

NE have started seasons slowly before only to turn it around and win it all. A few years ago our DL shredded their OL I think it was in a season opener, but by the season's end their OL was rebuilt.
Anyway its always good to see the Patsies get shredded even if it wasn't by us.texanphinatic and Mafioso like this. -
A few years back, I remember KC beating NE so badly, the media was asking BB if he was giving any thought to Benching TB12... Brady went on a tear and NE won the SB. Reports of NE's demise are always greatly exaggerated.
In other happy news, my fantasy team dodged a bullet as my opp. had Hunt on the bench haha.Tin Indian and resnor like this. -
Lots of new players still not up to speed with the system, Pats were playing no huddle a lot, Brady is missing a couple of veterans who do know the system, oh yeah and KC are a decent team.
That said, apart from the lack of veteran talent the other things for the Patriots are fixable and if any team can adjust it's them. I'm glad all the perfect season nonsense is over . Amazing the Pats lovefest the media was participating in. They were taking like a bunch of homers who haven't watched for any length of time. Let's just make sure we don't get carried away in reverse and expect the Patriots to completely collapse and instead enjoy the best possible start to a Dolphins fan's season!

they may have ran for 3 td's but they didn't run effectively. Their top two backs ran for 83 yards on 25 carries. But something was different last night when they were forced to throw late in the game. Unlike in the SB, the pass rush nearly killed Brady towards the end. Their last two drives were 3 and out, with 3 sacks. That is Dolphins-esque. Look, if their defense sucks, especially the run and the big play, and their offensive line can't gimmick anymore, then personally, it's lights out. As "elite" as Brady has been, he has been surrounded by good defenses, sometimes elite and an effective run game, and of course hardly hit. I actually thought Houston was going to end his career last night.
History says Pats will be fine, but we have been waiting for the downfall. Brady maybe on a high level, but as brad said, "you can't plug and play forever." You just can't replace certain players and positions. It will be a dogfight for the division, but if Saints can rip them apart, then we know the armory is cracked.Beyond that, their schedule is semi-tough, HOU, CAR and TB and ATL and OAK weeks after. -

No one loves to hate the Patriots more than me but all of these posts are about how bad the Pats are. There is another possibility that no one is discussing...

Alex Smith, Chiefs Stun Patriots with Record-Setting Show of Skills and Thrills
""We had it handed to us on our own field," said Tom Brady.
"Bad defense, bad coaching, bad plan, bad football," said Belichick.
Brady said the Patriots lacked urgency. Smith played to score and win like his life depended on it."
"The Patriots did not allow a single catch of 75 yards or more last season. Smith threw two of them Thursday night, the most stunning of which went to Tyreek Hill. With a weapon like Hill, we're going to see more of this from Smith. Last season, Hill had the two fastest times by a ball-carrier, according to the NFL's Next Gen stats, having reached speeds of 23.24 and 22.77 mph. (He may get competition this season from his new teammate, Kareem Hunt, who was fastest Thursday at 20.84 mph.)"
"The Chiefs' 42 points were the most the Patriots have given up in the 307 games of the Belichick era, regular season or playoffs."
"Until Smith's 368-yard, four-touchdown performance, only one player had a game of 300 yards passing, four or more touchdowns and no interceptions against a Belichick defense, according to the NFL. His name is Drew Brees."

Brady's piss poor deep ball was on display last night. Overthrowing receivers badly.

Unlike most Patriot games that was fun to watch. Something is clearly not clicking with Brady. Early on he was getting tons of time and still throwing off, normally when he has tons of time its a big completion and another set of downs. He also seemed jumpy, I think the announcers even mentioned it a few times. Maybe its hurting a little more to get hit at his age...

Was Hill and Hunt lined up with LB's? Man he had time to throw. We need that. He reminds me of how Cutler was throwing in the Ps
