With about 30 players, he said our name right after new orleans as one of few teams with such a high rate of participation...He also said that most teams are not close in this manner.
This is what I love to hear, this is why some might be underrating our team, and our coaches ability to demand respect..

If he does it and Kolb turns into our franchise guy, no one will care what price he paid.DolfanJake likes this. -

30 is seriously one of the highest in the league? What is the other 50+% doing?
-
-
The other 50% are probably working out on their own (if at all) though. I'm not sure how many people we have under contract, but I'd assume guys who are looking at FA (whether UFA or RFA) aren't going to be working out with the rest of the guys. -

FWIW, as long as they are not doing the usual power lifting I'm cool with it, I've felt for awhile that maybe fmr Strength Coach Thomas was overlooking the effect powerlifting to often can have on joints and tendons, there is a fine line between productive, and destructive work in that area. -
This is about the captains taking care of their team at this point.
Jake already reached out to Pouncey.

The point being, when one is pushing the envelope on weight, doing squats, deads, cleans, etc, the worst thing you can do is, do the lifts too frequently. If you try doing high reps less weight as a fill in between your heavy squat, deadlift days, you are just cutting into your recovery time. -
Then he goes on to make some stupid claim that the Cardinals will be back to the level they were when they had Kurt Warner. -

Very encouraging. The phins may be flying under the radar but our team unity is obvious. Some of the guys on the team have been playing together for 4+ years now.

I think what this shows is some real respect for their head coach..and thats whats important..

Incase you missed it Gish, I didn't say using a 1st rounder on a QB is stupid.
I said using a 1st rounder on Kevin Kolb was stupid.
I'll bet u a pap that Ponder ends up being better than Kevin Kolb.

We could give up a first round pick for orton worth it? not.
First round pick for Tom Brady, sure.
So the generalization doesn't work -
If he gets canned from Miami his likelihood of getting another GM job will be based on all his choices.
Pissing away a 1st round pick for AJ Feely #2 will bite him on the ***. I wouldn't hire him if that is his last big move for his previous team.padre31 likes this. -

If Feeley was worth a 2, highly debatable, in comparison Kolb would be worth a 1st, and someone will probably pay it for him but it won't be us.
Remember those stats mentioned a lot a couple of years ago, how no QB taken in the first 2 rounds, that had a 60% + completion pct and over 40 college starts, ever turned out to be a bust? If Kolb doesn't become a successful starter somewhere, he'll be the first such QB to break that trend.
