I'm wondering what the likelihood is of us drafting a tackle at 12 if Martin is a better left than right tackle, that is- unless they move Martin inside to left guard. I'm wondering if there isn't a greater chance of us trading back and taking Cooper or waiting till the 2nd round to take a right tackle (Menelik Watson) than taking Lane Johnson in the 1st.
Maybe take Patterson 1st (or trade back for Allen), Watson 2nd, and leave Martin at LT.djphinfan likes this. -
ssmiami, MrClean, Boomer and 1 other person like this.

I'm feeling more and more certain, with all the OL options, that we will see an OL selected somewhere in the first two rounds (with one of our first three picks).

I think Lane Johnson is working his way out of our reach at #12. He had already passed Fisher in my eyes

IMO, Joeckel didn't help himself today. He's no bigger or stronger than the next two tackles, and he is slower than both and much slower than Johnson. He also has slightly shorter arms than Fish or Lane. Watching the kick slide drill Joeckel didn't look like anything special. Lane certainly did and I missed Fisher so far.
I've been of the opinion all along that KC needs to address QB with their pick, likely Geno Smith, but if they do want to go LT instead, what is it about Joeckel that makes him worth #1 overall, while the other two are likely between 7 and 12? -
Know where you can typically pick up guys who bench press the highest amount of reps after the combine?
Free Agency.
It amazes me year after year to see media (and some draftniks) go ga ga over a guy's benchpress. I view it as "as long as he doesn't put up super low numbers, who cares" -

Fin-O is the Buckeye tackle any good, his numbers are not bad. RT maybe?

Today, seems like Lane Johnson, and Terron Armstead did themselves proud today.
