I say yes.
Defense still pathetic.
Undisciplined team verging on mutiny with terrible personal fouls.
Too many penalties.
4-5 record.
Terrible play calling.
Good luck next year Dan, it's been fun.
Ross better not let his loyalty burn us again.

Yes. This is still a terribly-coached team with no identity and little will to put up a fight.
And in a year or two I think we're going to look back at his firing of Bill Lazor as a huge, costly mistake (not to mention the organization giving that power to an interim HC). -
Should be, IMO.
-
Yea, He says everything will change and it just stays the same. Lamar Miller is not running the ball enough.
-
I agree.. but just be happy Campbell was promoted and Philbin fired. At least this way we know Philbin won't be the coach next year.

should yes, but this franchise is ****ing stupid so who knows.

I like him and all, but yeah. Still too much like Philbin even though he is a bit better. See: Miller being abandoned despite having a monster first half.
Maybe in 5-10 years he can be a head coach somewhere. Not yet. -
It should be under ordinary circumstances but since the jury is still out on Tannehill, I'd extend the coaching staff to not force him on another coach.
Tbh this coaching staff was doomed from the beginning. I say give them and Tannehill one year to fight for their jobs.

It was over when they lost to the Jets. May have been over when they lost to the Cowboys.

Yes....it's been a nice story, but we need an experienced staff here next season. Mike Shula is my personal pick.
-
yes i agree also. we need a more experienced coach and staff. we need to clean house
-
I agree though, the experiment is likely over come week 17, but Dan Campbell did a heck of a lot better than a lot of the coaches around the league would have. We need to give him credit where credit is due and try to keep him around in some capacity. For having zero head coaching or play-calling experience, he was pretty darn solid compared to what most expected.gunn34, USArmyFinFan, number21 and 7 others like this. -

This whole franchise needs an enema. Starting at the top.

I don't think anyone will regret the firing of Lazor, even if he has success elsewhere.

Honestly I like Campbell still. Given what he had to work with and the fact that there is no way he was going to be able to hire good coordinators in the middle of a season I think he's done a pretty fair job. I think that if he had an off season to bring in the staff he would want he would do considerably better. I dont know if that makes a no brainer keeper as our head coach, I personally think he is a few years away from being a great HC candidate.
I honestly don't know if it's sentimentality or what creeping in but I kind of like the Mike Shula talk as HC, but I seriously don't know who the best coaching candidate is out there now.dolphin25 likes this. -
Putrid offense and putride defense.
Stupid penalties.
No identity on offense.
Imbalanced run to pass ratio.
Coming out flat at home.
Everyone needs to be blown out on the coaching staff and I think they need to take Hickey with them.Dolphins1Beatles and Fin D like this. -

But it doesn't matter.
We probably would have beaten Houston, Tennessee and the terrible Ravens.
The Eagles game would have been 50/50. I wish Philbo was still here so we could at least get a better draft pick.
Campbell isn't much better and the results are pretty much identical. For a guy wanted to stamp his identity on the team, he sure did a good job re-stamping Philbin's. -
I think they'll let him go but if it was me I might go another year with him. He really has a crap team to work with. I would like to see his type of players brought in before letting him go. He reminds me a bit of a young parcells

I think he might get the job and I know that will upset people but really the team has played better under his leadership. Also with the current front office, Tannehill and Suh's contracts, it might make sense to give everything one more year. With better coordinators and a better roster this is a playoff team. He should get an interview and really unless we can get a really promising young Head Coach or another great coaching prospect I don't see why he shouldn't be seriously considered. People act like you can just fire a staff and get Don Shula or Vince Lombardi to step right in. Just because we create a vacancy doesn't mean that there will be a great coach to fill it. I think if Hue Jackson or Mike Shula want this job, and they very well might, that they might be better choices but I don't know if anyone else that will be available is.
I really don't get the blame game directed towards Campbell. Considering his experience and the **** sandwich he inherited he really did about all you can ask. -

coaches are not magicians....I love Dan's energy and passion...Something our previous coaches did not have...Campbell inherited a mess...I'd give him one full season to see what he can do. Our offseason is critical. We need new players on both sides of the ball.

What's below Tight Ends coach on the coaching ladder?
We should look there next. -
TBH, he lost me the first time he wouldn't go for it on fourth down (Cowboys?). Then the Jets, then last night.
I think he'll be a good head coach, just needs more experience. The residue of Philbin still needs to be completely removed, imo.
He was certainly refreshing at first... -
Campbell is in over his head. It's too soon for him to be an NFL head coach; he needs some experience as a coordinator first. If Ross makes the mistake of keeping him as head coach, we can look forward to a few more losing seasons as he finds his bearing. Not to say we don't have a few losing seasons ahead either way with the lack of talent on defense and the offensive line.

I don't think the results of this team is any indication but he isn't ready. I don't think there is a good way to evaluate him with our current results as he inherited a stinking turd and you can't turn that around in one year. I do think he has some potential but think we need someone with experience at this point.
-
It helps that we finish the year against NE at home...that game will mean a lot more to Campbell than it does to us. And honestly, if I were Bellicheat....I would bench my starters, let the Fins win, and help Campbell stay in the driver's seat for 2016. I can see that evil genius using that kind of logic.dolphin25 likes this.
