He had poor grades when you look at his pff scores before Jimmy Garropolo took over. When Jimmy took over, his grades shot up. A solid pick up for us.

Kilgore is a smart signing. Smart guy, didn't allow a pressure or a hit or a sack when Jimmy G came in. Good run blocker. Very friendly deal. It's really a one year deal. He earns $4.825 fully guaranteed for year one.

Our offensive line has transformed in a single day. Its looking very solid, and takes away a need at the draft.

This happened so fast they must have know this was coming and had options

Miami does have to pay his bonus tomorrow though. SF off the hook there. But still, I like the move.

Nice signing.
The best part is it looks like a team friendly contract at a cheap price. Win-win. -
He’s nothing special serviceable though and cheaper and we upgraded at left guard provided he can stay healthy.
I think we are done on the o line look to have what we need
Tunsil Sitton Kilgore Jesse davis James
With 4 guys competing for 2 active depth spots brendel Larsen (if we don’t cut him) the Eric smith Sam young
My moneys on brendel and Sam young as the active depth although Larsen’s interior versatility could win out
Asiata as the 2 deep potential right guard only looks to be inactive roster bubble guyCarmen Cygni, Pandarilla and Hiruma78 like this. -
Things are changing quickly on the OL. Plus Pouncey was probably part of the culture change they wanted to make. Frankly, I think the OL looks solid at this point, with a bit of depth too.
I wonder what the cap savings will be spent on?Irishman likes this. -
We keep talking about the culture change in Miami. I'm not going to say that Landry, Suh, and Pouncey were a problem, but we speak of culture change, and suddenly the three of the four (Wake) alpha personalities we had on this team are all gone. Pouncey to a lesser degree, but he was still one of our more intimidating players. I think parting ways with these guys has been a good thing. I didn't know how I would react and I have spent the last 8 months hoping like heck that we would keep Landry, but once the trade happened my feelings changed. I was against cutting Suh, but again...It felt right when it happened, the same goes for Pouncey.
I like the additions we've added to the offensive line. These are football player first type of guys. Both Kilgore and Sitton are brawlers in the trenches, I feel really good about this. I definitely like that we brought James back, that would have been stupid to get rid of him. Lets hope he comes back rejuvenated and smashes it next season. Can't forget about Tunsil either...Third year...Who knows? Maybe he busts the eff out this year and becomes an all pro.
Hopefully we wont have any depth issues with the O line either. Injuries are going to happen of course, that's why i'm all for keeping Larsen (experience), Sam Young (as awful as he can be at times), and hoping that Asiata (after his medication and meditation) takes a step further in his development.
This all looks cool to me so far, the draft will obviously provide some more foreshadowing as well, so we need to knock that out of the park. It's time to have a decent draft. No more of this Leonte Carroo BS.Tin Indian, BitcoinMillionaire, danmarino and 2 others like this. -
But wait - I thought personnel moves were done after we signed Wilson/Amendola?

He's also more mobile than most any QB that qualifies as a pocket passer. Given protection (which all QBs need) you'll see his "pocket presence" (in quotes b/c he's rarely had a pocket to manipulate) improve simply due to better pass pro and scheme driven production.Phins_to_Win, Hiruma78, Tin Indian and 2 others like this. -

Occasionally a QB make shift calls (which Tannehill does as well) mostly relating to the RB to make trade motion in pass pro if/when the defense makes a strength adjustment across the LOS. -
