Dolphin Fans...hope your happy..

continue to sit on your azzes..continue to show up late...continue to leave early..

and continue to lose.

I think its just a bunch of millennial's who don't know how to react to competitive games and take their queue's from the Bears fans. I know that's really pitiful, but when the wins continue they will change their attitude. I do not see commitment or integrity as part of a millennial's nature. They are too immature.

they showed their asses to cutler, to Gase and to the whole team...lazy fandom.

I think calling for the backup QB is stupid and unproductive. However, I once went to a game where the team didn't show up, scored 3 points and got blown out early. I cheered and encouraged all the way to the end including when the players were walking back to the locker room. After thinking about it, I think I am entitled to be pissed as they never even showed up at that game. No passion from the start. Meanwhile, I spent 2 grand to get there and traveled from another country. So while I don't think you should call for the backup or even boo, I wonder if I would be as patient if I ever come to another game again. Since the bullying and how it was (not) handled I don't spend money on this team. Now Coach Coke Head may have lengthened my self-imposed exile, so it will be a while before I find out how I would react. I think it is safe to say I would be much less patient next time if they give me garbage. I work hard for my money and I hate to not get any value at all out of that much. I have never booed, but if I do one day I'm going to allow myself that option without guilt. As I said, this team really owes me $2000 worth of entertainment at this point, so I would sleep well if I decided to show some frustration if they gave no effort again.
As for the current state of affairs, I like Gase but Gase himself called the offense "garbage" and did so publicly. I think you are kind of opening things up for opinions when you do that and the fans obliged when the garbage offense continued last game at home. If I were playing I would make the fans shut up by putting together 2 or 3 great games but that's just me. I care. I always worked hard at sports and everything I did. If it bothered me, I would do all I could to fix it but I would not bother saying anything about it in the media. We're excited about 2 good quarters of football so I think the fans base is not totally out of line if some become impatient at this point.

A lot of folks talk about how amazing our late 80's and 90's teams were, but I remember going to countless games where the offense looks like trash, the defense choked and we went into the 4th quarter down by 14+. The difference back then was Dan Marino because no matter how "blown out" you were, there was always a chance Marino would catch fire and put up 21 in the final few minutes. And for that reason, we stayed in our seats until the very last whistle.

I don't want to be too hard on this club because I'm realistic with my expectations- we did have a brutal road trip. We are starting a QB that was retired a little more than a month ago. We have had scandals and all kinds of other stuff dragging this organization down, so I'm not shocked that we're not 5-0 or 4-1 right now as I expected. I also know that beating one of the top NFC teams does not signal a massive turnaround and the start of an incredible streak- it just means we had a good comeback on the back of Ajayi and an incredible defense. It showed a glimpse of our potential- nothing more or less.

Being real, I'd have to say that we could legitimately "win out" on the season if Cutler starts looking like a franchise QB. We can just as easily lose the majority of our games if he stays mediocre....the entire season is literally pinned on his shoulders. So when it comes to what I personally expect from this team, this is the first season in eons where I can truly say I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen.

Will we beat the Jets this week? I have no idea and any guess would be based on what we will see from Cutler. And honestly, I'm okay with that because I'm loyal to the team and rooting like mad for them. I drop $300 a year on Sunday Ticket but until I see a stable QB that can lead the offense, that's as far as my wallet is going to show support.

I do resent being told that I'm not a "good enough fan" because I'm not going to go to the game and scream though- I don't owe this team ANYTHING. Instead, they owe me....from Ross to Cutler to Gase and the waterboy....because my lifetime of support has helped pay their paychecks. If they want more "rah rah" from me than I'm currently giving (and I give more than most here), then they better start putting some W's on the board without any more excuses. I understand their hardships this year but they better understand mine as a fan as well.

Long story short- the Dolphins owe us, not the other way around.

Put a product on the field that is worth supporting consistently, and the fans will show up. This team has been crap for over 10 years. It laughable to blame that on the fans. If people don't want to waste their hard earned money to watch an inferior product that is their right.

If the regular fans have the same kind of experience I had after flying 1000's of miles and spending 1000's of dollars to attend the last game of the season in 2015, I'm shocked anyone shows up at all. I've been treated better as a visiting team fan inhalf a dozen different stadiums than I was treated at the Dolphins home.

I would work to change from within if I was there, but I'm about as fr away as you can get in the US so that's not happening.

I would stay for the whole game, but can you really blame fans/customers for wanting to spend money on a bad product?

as a fan you have recalibrate every year Imo,if you take your animosity from years past into the present it's not fair..and it only hurts the teams ability to perform at their highest level..it become a vicious cycle, and we've been in one for decades because of the mentality you speak..

you have to take into account all the variables..this team gase put together is ahead of schedule..he started from 0 when he got the job..recalibrate.

bottomline this is not good and could derail the season if it festers and fans continue to boo..

if we played the falcons at home last week and at half time because we were down 17 I'm sure some fans would of let the team have it, and I'm sure we wouldn't of come back and won..

these players are human, they want to, check that, they get off on their fans being behind them..its part of their warrior mentality..if that goes away so does part of the players inspiration and motivation to play.

I think you ignored every single word I said- I did re-calibrate this season and I didn't use last year as a gauge. I also looked at all variables and said that I understood why we started so slow...I'm not holding that against the team.

At the same time though, I don't "owe" the Dolphins anything- that's the big thing you're missing. I choose to be a Miami fan. I choose to buy merchandise each year, watch the games and root for the players. I study film and write detailed, unbiased reviews every single week here as well because I choose to....but somehow you're confusing all of that with fans owing this team blind loyalty no matter what the outcome is or the decisions they make.

Sorry bro, but we have a right to be mad when a coach posts a video snorting coke with a hooker in the team facility. We have a right to boo when our QB drives 50 yards, gets just outside field goal position and the coach runs the ball up the middle on 1st and 2nd down....three drives in a row. We also have a right to get angry when our team doesn't score a single point two weeks in a row against to horrible defenses..

I choose not to do any of that because I am a lifelong fan...but that doesn't mean I owe the Miami Dolphins anything.

Tickets are ridiculous now. So is parking. And then the drunk Jets fans with potential guns in the parking lot. And of course we have been mediocre for years and the fan base has diminished. If you are a teen, you don't know who Marino was and you're probably a Pats fan. And those who watch games now, spend half their time on their phones between plays. Why not stay home with wifi and a plug? Don't forget the price of food and traffic. Oh and going the game and tailgating, that's an 8 hr day with worker school the next day. Don't forget we live in SFLA, and there is something called the beach and bars here, with multiple TV's to watch your fantasy team.

To moan about the fans not supporting their team, when they are obviously under performing, is ridiculous. Fans go to see their team win, or at least put in 100% effort. Poor play calling can frustrate both fans and players. Poor play by the players is unacceptable though. Who pays who? If fans do not like what they are watching who's fault is that? They have a right to show their displeasure. It's up to the team, and by team I mean everyone involved in The Dolphins, to perform. If they don't, then they must expect to consequences.

And here’s the news tidbit from all this: It’s arguably already an issue because multiple people I talk to within the Dolphins organization don’t consider themselves to have much of a home field advantage right now. And that is indeed a competitive disadvantage.

Some people within the organization view playing at Hard Rock Stadium as something only slightly more advantageous than playing on the road -- with much of that small advantage coming from the convenience of not having to travel for the game.

To play on your post, the Dolphins have been mediocre for 20+ years and really have never had a superstar. JT seemed to be more of a local icon, than nationally. I think the fan base has eroded, as the fans that are alive during Miami's glory days, are in their 40's and up. So what is the core fan base? I assume 20's and 30's? I'm guessing. Those in that age bracket, don't know or barely recall (or were too small to care) about Miami's tradition of winning. As Miami became progressively worse, it was just easier and sexier not to root for them, maybe even rooting for the Heat or in the NFL, another team. I want to believe the fan base is coming back. I know it's a small sample size, but camps I attended this season were packed and fans were genuinely believing. If this continues, you will see a lot of closet fans come back, and fans turning their allegiance. But it will be a slow process, and especially harder in a market where fans would rather do other things. I'm not sure if this is a football city anymore. I don't think it's a sports city much to be honest

The cost to attend a game is absolutely prohibitive to the majority of fans at this point.

Back in 72/73 when the Fins made their perfect run, the average Super Bowl ticket price was $15, which is approximately $80 today. In 2017, the average ticket price for a regular season Dolphins game is $140. You could see the Dolphins win the Super Bowl in 72/73 for almost half of what it costs to see them during the regular season now.

I love the Fins as much as anyone, but there are no drunk fans in my living room. I don't have to step over vomit and empty beer cans to get to the bathroom, and there's no wait once I get there. There's just a big screen TV and a couch waiting for me.

If you looking for a group to blame, look no further than the team owners and the league office. Don't blame the fans.

I dont let my mid go far enough to boomy team..im happy that I even have a team so I understand theres going to be highs and lows..gotta stick with them in the lows because the lows can stay the lows if they fan support is negative..

they went thru a lot, new qb, 1st home game, they didn't deserve it,,,the fans fu##ed up and now have to own up..players are pi##ed off...maybe they knew something we didn't..obviously, their 3 and 2 with serious arrows pointing up after that last win..

There needs to be a Pr campaign by the dolphins to save this.

I agree with you. We live in a Country where it is basically designed for you to not have to go out. TV's, Redzone, Uber Eats and home wifi can discourage a lot of people. An issue also, is the majority of the fans are usually coming from Broward and Palm Beach. Look, all of these reasons are good reasons if the team is mediocre, but if they start winning, you will see the Stadium like you have never seen it before

the fans reaction won't make or break this team. The play of the OL and qb will. Miami boo'ed because they deserved too. People spent their hard -earned money and they performed pretty bad. And this has been going on for years. Winning cures all, and if they win, all will be forgiven

I believe that the culture he has been bad partly because of the lackadaisical approach by the fans and the worst sports venue in sports...

Now we have a real team, a real venue, and the fans are still acting like morons.

what happened in the last 10 years means shit right now.....this is a playoff team, they are 12-4 in their last 16 games, they find ways to win games at the end, they need the fans this week more than ever, its the 2nd home game of the season in week 7
