The only team with more people on IR is the Bills

 

Actually, the Houston Texans have 17 people on IR, which, according to the announcers in today's Bucs-Texans game, is the most in the NFL.
And at this point, I don't think there is any way Cameron comes back next year. I know that you HOPE so, as a Bills fan, but it just isn't very likely.

 

Yes, injuries have hurt this team, but we still couldnt win with them either

 

This team was playing like crap before being devistated by injury so I dont know how much can be blamed on that. I dont want to see Cameron back next year but it wouldnt disappoint me too much if he did return. Cameron is now something like 18-50 as a Head Coach (including college)

 

Must have missed that. Just going from the announcers of the Buf and fins game saying Bills had the most with 12 and Fins are close with 11

We can talk about the excuses for this team but the fact remains that the Phins are about to make history for ineptitude here. Are you saying that he Phins have had the worst luck in 40 years after the merger? I can't even begin to count all the mistakes that have been made in running this team. Last week Cam calls a timeout despite the officials stopping the clock for a measurement. He's made countless similar boneheaded decisions this year that have left he even the most uninformed fan asking "why????....what the???? and me cursing and throwing things about the house. NO COACH has ever lead a team to be this bad since the '76 Bucs which was an expansion team. The team has quit on him and I feel for the players that have been poorly prepared in the majority of games this year.

I could sit here and type for hours at what has been done to my beloved Dolphins. Huizenga, Wanny, Saban, and Cam and the rest of the guilty should be ashamed for what they have done to a once proud franchise. I only wish that after Cam goes, we could fire Huizenga.

As with most things in life, the Dolphins woes are a combination of things:
Lack of talent (hats off to Wannstedt and Spielman)
Injury bug (lead to inexperience)
Cameron's inexperience (normal for first-year head coaches)

Cameron should get one more season to right the ship, but he may not get that due to his handling of John Beck.

 

Thier is no sane reason that Cam is the head coach tomorrow!

Nonsesne IMO, Cam's handling of Beck is way down the list of why he should be pink slipped.

"Oh gee, Beck is a rookie and he needs his hand held when he makes a mistake, we should all give him a hug when he screws up" seems to be the optimum idea.

Bullocks on that one, be tough trooper, we are 0-13 after all.....if John Beck has confidence problems due to his play perhaps we should take Jack Lambert's advice and put a skirt on him?

 

Exactly . . . maybe a team has more people on IR, but nobody has lost more starters than us.

We have lost starters, and direct backups to starters.

And there has been nagging injuries to several of our players (Holliday, Roth, Chatman, Crowder, Booker).


And as MUCH as I have DISLIKED Cam the last few games . . . . firing him IMO wouldn't be just . . . I actually think winning a game out of these last 3 will go a long way for this team and Cam, and I think that is why the switch to Cleo had to be made.

Tho not just . . . if Michigan offers him the job (iono why) and Cam takes it . . . . I would not shed any tears at all . . . . also, if the team DOESNT think Cam is the guy . . . . just or not, u have to fire him. We only lose a year, instead of more . . . . its gonna be tuff . . . I still think Cam can prove his worth these last 3 games, with hard fought efforts.

We lost a year of guys learning the playbook . . . these guys have been thru enough of this . . . imagine if Chambers was still here . . . it would be like offensive coach 7 in 8 years or something like that . . . . that is sad. With Cam, u would think there would be stability . . . . to go thru this again would be tuff.

But I'm not opposed to it, I just want the right guy for the job, whoever that may be.

 

Wait, we have a system? The way our PCing has been this year I thought they were just making up plays as they go... Actually, they DID say Cameron had been making up plays durring games. Today for instance he was designing plays to roll Lemon outside the pocket. (no lie)

 

Thing is, a lot of those guys wouldn't be here next year anyway. Lemon, Booker, Martin, a couple of the O linemen, they'll be gone no matter who the HC is.

 

Yea a new offensive scheme and Defensive scheme . . . . lost Y Bell the first game . . . . 6 games lost by 3 points . . . . lost the starting QB, starting RB, heart of the team in Zach Thomas . . . lost the OTHER starting safety . . . . this team never got the chance to get right . . . it was consistently downhill.

I will say this, we probably win if we had another coach . . . but what . . . maybe 3 games? This team hasn't gotten any breaks, and u can't fully fault the coach for the teams misfortunes.

The defense collapsed this year. EVERYBODY thought Cam would have NOTHING to do with the D, but we wanna blame him now that things are bad . . . gimme a break.

 

If we go 0-16, I think Cam should be fired. No new coach (or any coach for that matter), in any case, would go 0-16. If we were 3-13 or heck even 2-14, that may be understandable but 0-16 is unacceptable and inexcusable. He's showing why he has such a bad head coaching record. If you can't win a single game in the NFL, then you don't belong as a head coach, injuries or not.

there is no guarantee that Lemon, Booker and Martin are gone . . . and those are only a few players.

What about Beck, Ronnie, L Book, Ginn, Hagan, the Offensive Line . . . most of those guys are returning . . . what is this gonna be? Another year of learning the playbook in camp instead of running the playbook in camp . . . I'm tired of that.

 

He deserves the blame. He is the HEAD COACH, that means the full team. Brown went down in game 7. So you cant blame our sloppiness on him. He was on the way to the Pro Bowl had be stayed healthy, but Chatman filled in fine for him. Jason Allen has stepped in for Bell just fine too. People were already calling for Lemon when Green was hurt. That leaves you with Thomas... Which as much as I'd like to, I cant dispute.

I know he deserves the blame . . . but fans are being hypocritical because they thought the defense was fine before the season started. Capers makes more money, and his has done a terrible job managing this unit this year. Cam having to focus hard on D, made this job UNMANAGEABLE for him, and too much to take on for his first year (Being an OC and HC is enuff).

I don't know if he gets fired or not . . . . but I can understand why we keep him . . . even if we go 0-16

 

Thats just it.Cam's not head coach material...It feels to me like there are
several disorganized sections of the team ,offence,defense ,oline,special
teams and there not ONE voice to pull them together.Win or lose ,thats what
I'm looking for in a HEAD coach,not X' and O's .You hire good cordinaters for

I will personally guarantee you that Marty Booker will be gone and Lemon, IIRC is a FA. Why the HELL would he want to stick around here? Hagan will likely be cut. Beck won't be starting next season unless he has one hellacious off season, which is unlikely.

 

As HC, Cam should have a better idea of the state of the defense than the fans. That he doesn't means he shouldn't be the HC.

I still wanna see the last 3 games before I make final judgement, but for now, I'm still ok with bringin him back . . . . but I was 100% before the Philly game that he was comming back . . . . and that was when he inserted Beck . . . . now his franchise QB by choice struggled mightily . . . and so has his playcalling. I dunno, but one thing is for certain . . . . THERE WILL be changes . . . there has to be.

Theres a Porshe club that requires you buy one of the 8 existing cars of a specific model. The car costs more than 2 million dollars and since theres only 8 cars in the world, I think that club is a bit more exclusive. 6/8 Cars are in America... I doubt thats what you mean though.

 

This is true . . . . but why did we sign Capers for 3 million . . . and Cam for less than 3 million . . . . this was supposed to be a "Double Head Coach" . . . Cam was to focus on the offense and Capers on the Defense . . . and early in the season, the offense was shining MUCH harder than the D . . . now that we have the starting QB and our top 3 RB's, and traded our best WR . . . the offense has struggled and the D has continued the struggle . . . . I mean . . . yea Cam is the Head Coach . . . but I would never think i would blame him for the decline of the defense . . . nobody thought they were this bad, and everybody was happy to see offense in the draft . . . just seems like alot of double standards to me.

Hey I'm with having a OC, a DC . . . and a HC . . . but I'm just stating what the fan's perspective was when Cam and Capers were hired/resigned

 

Hey I'm glad u were able to see the future . . . but many fans . . . most fans thought the D got its final piece with Joey Porter, and the pass rush would be amazing.

The pass rush has been non existant this season, and the defense is folding harder than ever.

In an ideal world, I would like to demote Cam to OC, use Capers as the DC, fire the special teams coach . . . . and bring in a EXPERIENCED NFL Head Coach . . . maybe even Dennis Green . . . somebody man . . . who has Coached in the NFL.

I know Cam wont be demoted, but this OC/HC thing doesn't look like its going to work
