Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Teams in negotiations make offers to come to a resolution. There is no negotiation without offers. Negotiations end after offers. You don't want offers made in a negotiation period, you better not have that negotiation period. Seriously.

NFL is usually very prompt on issues of discipline....
We should have a decision on the matter sometime in the offseason of 2018!! -

NFL is a sham. Y'all haven't figured that out yet? If the Pats had settled a deal with Suh, this would be a non-story.
F*** the PFL. -

Sounds like they're finally doing something right. Seems to work out for all the other teams that bend the rules. Cheat to win.

Don't worry. Much like deflating balls, everyone does it, so its ok!

maybe we dolphin fans should sue the Miammi herald for trying to destroy the dolphins which that knucklhead writer is doing. and we should really file a lawsuit against the nfl and this crap will stop.

As I understand it, you can take "negotiating positions" during the legal tampering period. You just can't agree on a contract. That sounds like an easy enough technicality to satisfy. The teams could just say the press reported a done deal when it was still a "negotiating position".

The Dolphins don't gain anything from leaking the contract parameters before free agency begins. That leak most likely came from the agent or player. And because Sih hasn't officially signed yet, it likely shows that the contract was never finalized during the the 3 day grace period. I'm not worried about any NFL investigation.

Just thought of something.. all they really need to do is to agree on a contract slightly different from what was reported in the news and you can't argue the contract was agreed upon during the legal tampering period. So, maybe once the details come out that's what we'll see.
