This is a spin-off of slick's oreo thread.
You have you many different varieties of chips, pretzels, cookies, nuts, etc.
For me, I love cashews and pistachios. They're probably my favorite thing to snack on. I'm not a huge fan of snacking on sweets unless it's cupcakes or pie but I consider that dessert more than an actual snack. I do love Doritos too. If you have never had Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos (purple bag) I advise you to get some immediately. It will improve your life by 25%.

Everything I eat is gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and low in sugar (with no frustose, maltodextrin, cane syrup, corn syrup, etc etc etc)… It's so narrow a band of snacks it's almost non-existant.
I pretty much don't snack anymore unless it's raw almonds, etc.

Got the recipe for Mrs Fields chocolate chip cookies that I tweaked a little and then add Heath bar pieces to. Dims be delish. Was gonna be a one night deal to satisfy a random cookie craving.... but now I cant stop myself. Don't even need the recipe anymore. Got it all memorized. Seriously think I need a Cookie Anonymous meeting or something.

Problem is I'm a man who loves his food but I can't really snack on cookies. No matter how delicious they are after 3 or 4 the sweetness becomes too much.

1 1/4 cup all purpose four
1 1/4 cup oatmeal [blended to powder]
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
**mix together for nice consistency**
Separate bowl
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick salted butter [melted]
1 tsp half & half cream
1 tsp real vanilla
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/4 tsp canola oil
1 egg
** mix together
Mix it all together.... then add semi sweet choc chips and chopped up Heath par pieces.
Oven at 375. 9 minutes.
form dough into golfball sized balls
It'll look like they're not done but they are, especially if you like them chewy. I like to flatten 'em out a little when I first remove from oven. Pairs exquisitely with Colorado's new law.
Any remaining dough- spread out like a log on wax paper, roll the wax paper up around it, and refrigerate. Makes it much easier to cut pieces off when removed from fridge when the dough is hard. -
I'm an insulin dependent type-2 diabetic, so I have to be careful between meals. Usually, its South Beach granola bars and low fat cheese sticks. Sometimes an apple or some raw carrots. I drink A LOT of water, but I allow myself a diet ice tea or Sprite Zero a few times a week. But really, anything less than 20 carbs is generally ok. Very little fills me up at that level though.

I love the Snyder's of Hanover sourdough pretzel pieces (specifically the honey mustard flavor), but I don't usually get them at the store because I could eat a whole freaking bag in one sitting.
