My wife and I just found out that she has a tumor on her cervix. the doctor isn't sure if its benign or not. the only thing we know for sure is that she has to have a hysterectomy, and there are more test to do, so that they can determine if its cancer. weve been married 22 years she is the love of my life, we need prayers.
at this point, I'm scared to death:cry:

Very sorry to hear this Mike, however, if indeed there is anything bad going on, I am hoping they caught it early on.
You are a strong man, no doubt about that, and your wife is going to be needing that.
You will have LOTS of positive prayers, thoughts and energy coming your way brother. -

If I may be so bold:
Father, I thank you for the gift of life and pray that you give our brother Cal and his family strength and hope at this moment. We pray for peace and healing.
Finally, we pray that you guide the surgeon's hands during the surgery and that all may turn out well.
Thank you Father.
Amen.

She has an appointment in a few days with a second doctor (obgyn) and the Dr's office said this morning that they are gonna try and move some people around so that she can get in sooner.
also,
the second doctor already has her ultra sound and results, he really wants her there asap.Ohiophinphan, dolphindebby, njfinfan and 5 others like this. -
Thanks, the part that hurts me is the pain that she has, and theres not a damn thing I can do.
shes a pretty tough cookie and this is really hurting her. her mom died of breast cancer and she has had one sister that had thyroid cancer.Ohiophinphan, njfinfan, The Rev and 1 other person like this. -
Good. I'll be praying that the second diagnosis is better and that a biopsy can provide even better news.
This is not meant to provide false hope, but...my best friend was diagnosed with a "growth" in her cervix a few months back; her doctor was pretty grim in her opinion of what the biopsy would likely reveal. Yet when the biopsy results came back, they showed no malignant cells at all.
I hope this doesn't mess with your head, it's not meant to do that; just to illustrate that sometimes a doctor can have a diagnosis contradicted entirely by actual test results.
Hopefully that will be the case for your wife. But if it isn't, know that you have our love and support, and that she and you will be in our prayers until she wins whatever trial is thrown her way.dolphindebby, njfinfan, calphin and 1 other person like this. -
I'm sorry to hear about this. my thoughts & prayers go out to you & your family.
My mom survived cancer three times (breast, cervix & colon) and won. I'm not saying your wife has, I'm just saying if she does, its curable. My mom is living proof, so will your wife.
I was once where you are now and I was scared ****less. The best advice I got was from a friend who happened to be a doctor. He told me to read about it. Not sure if you have done that yet or not. Just learning about it & knowing its curable made things so much easier. Find a support group if you are up for that. It helps to talk to other ppl that have been there. I wished I went that route instead of smoking up & keeping things to myself.
Good luck buddy. :up:njfinfan, azfinfanmang, calphin and 1 other person like this. -
There's a stripe on Jesus' back for your wife's healing. I apply the same faith it took for me to get saved toward you wife's healing. I pray that God will be glorified through this in some way.
