Ya I caught that in the presser...he seemed to sincerely mean what he said...love it.

 

I liked that he pointed it out after the conference appeared to be done and he did seem very genuine and it does help and matter.

Now , one can say the fans haven't had a lot of opportunity or reasons to be passionate and vociferous and that the fan base is not the same as in most cities , but regardless , atmosphere , noise , excitement help the home team and we have not had that as an advantage. We need to claim that and I am really pleased to see Coyle step up and identify this.

 

This is why I can't stand it when our fans boo our own team. I've gotten into arguments with people on this website about that. Some of us on here think it's ok to boo our own team. And I think it's classless and disgusting.

 

They could be Oakland bad and I'd never consider booing...fans don't boo, haters do.

 

I think booing should be reserved for coaching decisions or players who have proven themselves *******s. It doesn't quite make sense to me as negative reinforcement for bad play.

 

I saw that and thought it was pretty cool. As long as they are competitive in the next game (and especially if they win), that building is going to be rocking next Thursday night.

 

Yeah the crowd was bumpin Sunday. If only they could master getting to their seats on time in the 1st quarter.

 

Booing the players is disrespectful at the upmost, IMHO. They're who they are, and they're trying and giving what they got. I respect them regardless. Maybe I let myself get too connected, but to me, booing them is equal to booing my family...won't happen.

Agree on the Patriots part...typical entitled Boston/New York fans.

 

I think that booing is fine. I'm going to passionate, in both directions. If the team is playing like crap, I'm going to voice my opinion. I'm never going to cuss or call out an individual player at the game, but boo? You bet.

And as someone who likely will never see another game in Miami, its not my place either.

 

It'd be awesome to see the house rockin' come Thursday next week. If we can get the W at Detroit, I have no doubt it will happen.

I've been to louder games. We need to finish strong and make those December games mean something. We want it to be hell on Earth for the Bills, Ravens, Vikes, and Jets.

 

That's your opinion, to which you have a right. Mine is that booing should be reserved for extreme situations where a decision is so stupid or cowardly that it can only give rise to deep disgust in a reasonable fan.

 

No need to worry about a sellout..should be no problem for the hated Bills game.

 

How often does the team get out and do public appearances? I would think that a good way to generate good will and enthusiasm in the team is to give the people of Miami a personal connection to the players. Like, once a week, have a couple players show up at a local playground and play catch with the guys (I know McCain is sort of doing this on his own). Go to a high school football game and pass out vouchers for food at the stadium. Just meet and greets where people can connect with the players. People are less likely to boo, and more likely to rabidly support their team when they have personal connections.
