Landry was out of line in this instance. He insisted he was interfered with but replays clearly showed he tripped over Revis' feet and fell down.
Nevertheless, I don't see Landry's behavior as an issue, although it will be if it continues. Players that use anger, frustration, passion, etc. to get motivated sometimes need to get put in place and hopefully this fine will help do that. Playing with energy is one thing. Playing so arrogantly you refuse to admit you screwed up, arguing with the refs and drawing penalties is quite another and no player should be given that right.
What I'm more concerned about is how Revis put the clamps on Landry. I was told this offseason how great Landry is. -

He is great, albeit without great speed. Why would they put Revis on him otherwise?
Edit: If he did it, he deserves the fine. What he DOESN'T deserve is fan ire...more so than anybody in this organization. -

Revis' weakness is and always has been speed and vertical routes in general. Putting him on Landry (who is kind of slow) was a dream for a guy who's well past his physical prime but extremely intelligent and smart enough to know what's coming and read the body language of a pretty telling QB.

Show me that CB. Please don't sit there and imply that Deion Sanders and Darrell Revis aren't giving up catches and yards. This is football. We both know that'll happen.
Oh, and btw, Landry had 4 catches for 40 yards.
That probably wasn't even all against Revis.
And why don't we go ahead and deduct some yardage since Landry tripped and helped give up that INT?
Oh and then he goes and gets a penalty on top of it?
Great play, dog. Great play.
Here's a better question. Why is Tannehill zooming in on a small-bodied WR in the red zone who's being covered by the best cover corner of this generation?
Maybe we get an answer to that question sometime? -

Rishard Matthews and the TEs on the other hand doesn't seem to have an issue. Greg Jennings is the only troublemaker and he simply needs to be removed in favor of Devante Parker.Puka-head likes this. -
Any sane coach would NEVER be mad at their player for showing too much passion, and Landry did nothing wrong here. I mean, sure, he cussed out a ref and that's never good...but if I recall correctly, he was one of the only guys on the field fighting for every inch and actually trying to win the ball game. So this is definitely a non-issue.

You can get fined for wearing the wrong socks. You can step on a guy's arm on purpose and still play. Some players get black balled for domestic abuse. Sometimes it gets ignored. Everyone in the country hates the very best team. Cheating apparently totally pays off.
It's really a great game when you think about it.
If that's not a microcosm for the real world, I don't know what is. -

I'm good with Landry, if this stuff comes up again then he might need to sit down for a half or something to send a message but that Jest game was obviously frustrating for us and must have been 100 times as frustrating for the players. I can understand why he was upset about that play, its easy to analyze a play from the booth but he thought he got tripped up or taken out so he got on the ref. He should have known better but hey this stuff happens sometimes. Landry has been really good for this team and I'm still high on him so I don't get any fans trashing him, frankly thats just dumb fan stuff.

Nothing to see here, Landry is a vital piece moving forward. I'm sure he'll be ok. It's been a rough time in Miami lately and frustration is completely understandable. He's not the first person to yell profanities at a ref.

Landry is a good utility player. If he's our best WR we're screwed. People were hyped over his attitude, and workout regimen, and all that stuff. Which is good ... for him. But to believe that somehow spills over to teammates is not realistic. Reggie Bush had the same ethic.
I want talent. And I feel we're feeding Landry way too much.
Landry has had two fights with teammates and yelled at a ref now. Perfect for Campbell.DolphinGreg likes this. -

I want Stills/Parker to be our #1 and #2. If Landry is our #3 that's a great thing.

It seems to me those with discontent about Landry's miscues would be better served targeting resentment at other receivers to step up and start making some plays, just so that Landry's room for error isn't so damn cushy, and stuffed to the hilt with goose feathers!! -

He needs to relax. Maybe he should try yoga.
Namaste. -

The INT was the result of a bad pass from Tanne. -

I guess the ref needed to see the rubber hanging out of Marshals a** in order to call that prison sex.
