The contentiousness on some of these strings has gotten a bit too much. It drives people from the site. In trying to keep us relevant, I’m going to attempt to moderate this forum.
Disagree all you want. Discuss. But leave the personal attacks out of it. I’m going to delete the offending stuff if I see it. I’m a huge free speech kinda person so I’m hoping this will be few and far between instances.
You can always PM me but let’s not piss and moan about minor edits in the strings.

It's really not difficult. If you disagree with somebody, tell them why you disagree without saying the person is a liar, troll, or ignorant. Personally, I don't like engaging with either of those so if they struck me in such a negative way, I'm ignoring them.
Besides that, if you feel compelled to engage in a bitter dispute, take it to DM and spare the rest of us. I've never understood why anyone would let themselves be chased away from a message forum or whatever by someone whose opinion they don't respect. Particularly since you can block people here.Den54, OwesOwn614 and Tuanon4Life like this. -
The real reason this board has few active members now is because message forums are a dying media. I'm 57 and I've been posting on different forums since I was in my late twenties. Younger people don't look for internet message forums. They go to subreddits if they do that sort of thing at all. Most of them use SnapChat and Instagram and even Facebook and the X Formerly Known as Twitter are for older adults. They're photo and video oriented. We're a dying breed.

What would make it alive and exciting for you? I personally love it here. We're just a dysfunctional family of long suffering Fins fans enjoying the best season we've seen since 1984. Everyone here is awesome IMO... Even Resnor! So I hope you find an exciting place to go if you leave. We'll all be here.

"Let's all be civil" = Fighting and bickering in a forum with that title. I expect nothing less. I believe this forum (for the most part) is made up of older fans and the thing with older people is that the older they get, the more unreasonable they become. The more set in their ways they become. Others just can't help themselves and have to pick fights.
I was talking to my oldest son last night about the differences in generations between us. I was born in the 80s and I'm a 90s kid. I grew up with every day violence and bullying. It was face to face every day at the schools I went to whether I experienced it directly or indirectly. There was no hiding from it unless you hid in the school library. My son was telling me that it's not like that these days. These days, bullying is all on the internet, on social media, and in forums such as this one. I hate to say it, but he's right. The only other time I see it in a personal setting is when I'm driving, and it's usually the boomers who have finally gotten to the point where they can afford their GMC Denali that do it. I've not commented on your opinion, but on your behavior. You have every right to your opinion, and shouldn't be harassed, but you don't have a right to be rude and instigatory to posters you don't agree with or hold low opinions on.
Yes, I support anyone who has the balls to post what they think, regardless of whether or not everyone agrees with them.
