And of all our backs...hes the one most likely to go Beast mode. I like Lamar dont get me wrong..but we also need a back who can just run people over when our line isnt blocking that great. Would love to see Earl Mitchell leading the way for Ajayi at the goal line.

Jay Ajayi has a strange mix of power and finesse. He's like a blend between LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch. He's shifty and agile, but not as much as McCoy... he runs with power and aggressiveness, but not as much as Lynch.
Basically, if LeSean McCoy and Marshawn Lynch had a baby, it would be Jay Ajayi.ILDolPhan, resnor and Pandarilla like this. -

He should take his old # now...(#27 ~ "LaMike" James[cut])
But 33 is cool. I actually own a 33 phins jersey. :hammer: -

nice i really want to see what he and miller can do together.

I love that we have potential upgrades as backups...

Did I mention he's such a natural pass catcher that Boise used to line him up at wr in 2013...

I can't wait for Ajayi to get some game time. Very excited about him.

Last season Ajayi was
Ajayi was #1 in the running back class with 50 receptions
Ajayi was #1 in the running back class with 535 yards receiving
Ajayi was #1 in yards after the catch with 488 yac.dolfan22 and Unlucky 13 like this. -

Take the good, his skill running the football, with the bad, in the gm could mean automatic Cb blitz until he shows he can stop them

I like what he could be but he seems to have health and injury issues. Or maybe we were just being cautious with him. Either way I can't wait to see what our fifth rounder can do.

I've followed this guy all of his college career, if he can stay healthy he's a beast. Eventually I think he could challenge Lamar for the starting role, that's how high I am on him

Speaking of tailbacks... anyone other than me rather see Jonas Gray take snaps when Miller comes out? Damien Williams flat out sucks. He shouldn't even see the field. He also seems to fall down if you exhale on him.
Gray on the other hand has had 17 carries for 73 yards on the year. 4.3 year avg. per game.resnor likes this. -

Gray, and Ajayi when he's back, need the carries when Miller comes out for a breather. Or when we're winning by three TDs in the fourth  -

I'm anxious to see if Ajayi is ready and active at this point. We have the Thursday game coming up so we'll need a little extra help from RB depth in this scenario. You also have to wonder what kind of motivation Jonas Gray may have; returning to Foxboro with his old/new team. Should be interesting.

It's been so long I forget, what was his injury?

Didn't realize he was on IR (D2R)
