Hmmm, well either way, Ahmed isn't being cut. If he goes back to the practice squad, he goes back to the practice squad.
It's a valid question. Perhaps Ahmed goes to IR, and they sort it out when he's eligible to come back.
I don't think either Ahmed or Brooks make it to the practice squad. Someone will pick them up for their 53. McDaniel has a tough decision to make.
Its quite possible Grier shops Wilson for a trade. What we've had in our running backs has seemed to be working quite well.
So this team has Ahmed and Jeff Wilson Jr behind Mosert and Archane. They're stacked at RB right now.

Yes. The league took away the 3rd rounder, allegedly as punishment for tampering, but I think it was actually for firing Flores. We traded the 4th for Chubb. We do also have the Bears 6th round pick for Dan Feeney. Then we also own the Broncos 5th round pick for Chase Edmonds.
I thought the Broncos 5th was 2025 for some reason. On the topic of Flores, I'll hold my hands up and admit I was very wrong on that one. I was gutted when we fired him, haven't looked back since McDaniels got here though.
Yep. If they decided to trade him, I think Wilson should net us a fourth from a rb needy team. Fill in one of those draft holes, anyway.

To be very fair, some of the circumstances around it still gives me the ick. That said, the team is better off with McDaniel.
I am also glad they didn't fire Grier. It may not work out but he put together a roster and staff that can compete.
