There are no alternatives at QB, other than Watson (which isn't even an option IMHO).Tin Indian likes this. -

This is the problem with constant coaching changes. You change coaches, schemes and players to fit those schemes. Likely moving on from the cover 0 defense. Do we have the personnel for a 4-3? Do we need new pieces to run a 3-4 then new coach likes? Now we’re set back a couple more years. Then all those draft picks we’ve had need to be resigned .
It’s a vicious cycle. -
Pre 2019, the Phins could have actually been relatively competitive.
They blew the thing up. I like the core of this team. But a competent O-line is a must.Irishman likes this. -
The A tier is pretty much Doug Pederson, especially if he gets a good DC. Dennis Allen is meh, but if he hires an A+ offensive staff I'd give him a chance. If you want something off the wall but reasonable... Ryan Day. If you want an offensive dude, he's at the top, and while he is a college HC he has NFL roots.
Honestly, as long as it is NOT Bill Obrien or Matt Patricia I'll give it a chance. If it's either of them, then we need to demand this franchise be fired into the sun. -

What about chargers OC Joe Lombardi? I know his resume is thin, but he spent forever as NO QB coach, working with Brees. Maybe he brings in Joe Brady as OC, another saints alumni... I hate the idea of another first time HC, but at this point, wtf can we do.
I'll throw it out it there... Mike Shannhan. Proven system. Access to assistants that are proven...
If we're stuck with Tua, we need someone with a background working with QBs.Pennington's Limp Arm likes this. -
Had Flores lost the team and we ended up with 4-6 wins, I could maybe understand this. We won 8/9 games. Griers off-season plan outside of the draft was a complete bust. This team wasn’t set up for success.JJ_79 likes this. -
I don't know the dynamics behind the scenes. I suspect, after the 1-7 start, the writing was already on the wall. Flores needed to work on his resume.
If you think Tua isn't the answer then yeah, we're ****ed. But I haven't bailed on him yet. -

It would have been very easy for this team to give up after the 1-7 start. Kudos to Flo for keeping them in the fight. I hope he goes on to show what a mistake this was, exposing Grier and Roses for the buffoons they are.JJ_79, M1NDCRlME, KeyFin and 1 other person like this. -
What a mess. Hey, maybe we get lucky and this turns into a repeat of that Tony Dungy firing. He also rebuilt Tampa Bay with a great defense, mediocre offense, had consecutive winning seasons (Dungy was better though.. he kept making the playoffs but losing) and the next coach (Gruden) comes in and wins the SB the year after. lol.. yeah one can dream.
Ross is so inept. Why does he always take half measures? With Ross, our best strategy for winning the SB is clearly luck. lol -
Don't care what this team does til Grier meets Guillotine. I had my ups and downs admittedly with Coach Flores this season, but I certainly don't put this disaster on him. If anything from what I've heard the team rallied behind him.
I wish we could all sign a big post-card to send him, so he's not to anxious to beat the snot out of us if/when he goes on to be a success somewhere else.

JIM CALDWELL? BRIAN DABOLL? Now we are so disfunctional we are hiring people for the big chair we fired from lesser positions LMAO

You all let me know when we get somebody. I'm not going to invest an erg of energy trying to care when I expect the next coach (and the one after him) to fail. Y'all know me; I'm almost never down on the team. I largely disappeared during the losing streak because I didn't have anything positive to contribute about a team that seemed to have given up. I'm not going to troll; if I feel I have nothing but negativity to contribute, I'll avoid letting my frustrations add to yours. I have a feeling, I might need to step back and let the offseason simmer before I start printing up receipts for y'all to drop on me when/if things turn around.
SMH. -
BTW: With whom are we competing to sign our next HC? Aren't we the only team that has a vacancy right now besides Las Vegas?
-
Keeping Grier will limit the interest from potential candidates. Harbaugh is not leaving Michigan to become “just” a coach in the NFL with no say in personnel matters. This is a job only attractive to first time HCs, although if I was Eric Bienemy, I wouldn’t be leaving KC, Reid and Mahomes for Grier, Ross and Tua.

Offensive guy.
Experienced head coach.
Won in Detroit and nobody wins in Detroit.
Had a 14-2 season in Indy.
Won a Super Bowl as an Offensive Coordiantor.
Has connection and is well respected to build a staff.
He was not fired by Miami. He was hired in January 2019 and left for medical reasons in July 2019. He was never even on staff for a single game.
But we did hire him. So someone in the Org does like him. -
