Welp, we gotta win.

Wish list for Tanny: 3 TDs, no INTs, 40 rushing yards.
Oh and 7 adjusted net yards per attempt to satisfy the quants/nerds/socially inept :pointlol: -
So early in the day!
Sadly I predict that we will fall tonight guys :(. Defense hasn't shown up the past two weeks and our offense is anemic.
Buffalo 31
Miami 13 -
I think we can win this game tonight. However the big issue is going out and actuall performing and earning the win. The offensive line needs to be better, especially in run blocking. Tannehill needs to be the player he was for the 4 games prior to the Titans game, and our defense... oh our dreadful secondary needs to play better. Much better. Much, much, much better. I know its hard for them with the lack of talent back there, but they've got to do something better. Bottom line really, is everyone needs to step up. We aren't good enough for one or two individual performances to win us a game, so no, to me, its not all on Tannehill. It's not all on Reggie. Or anyone in particular. It's on the Miami Dolphins. The team as a whole. Offense and Defense. Go out, execute, be excelent. Be winners. Limit the mistakes. The rest should take care of itself.
I say we win, 24-20.jsizzle and dolfan32323 like this. -
I'll be happy with us scoring a TD and the defense not looking like swiss cheese.

FWIW I would be pretty surprised if Miami didn't walk out of tonight with a victory.
All is not lost if they don't, though. In some ways, it might even be better if they don't.
I really only expect the team to finish about 6-10 this year regardless of what happens tonight. I don't expect wins against the Patriots (x2), Seahawks or 49ers. I do expect a win against the Jaguars unless Chad Henne is in the game and decides to have a Culpepper/Raiders type performance. I have always expected a split against the Bills this year.
The key in the last part there, a split against the Bills, is when we get the victory and when we get the defeat. I've been building in a poor finish to this season since before the season started. But if the Dolphins were to win the second Bills game instead of the first, then at least they get to walk out of the season having won 2 of their final 3 games and thinking that perhaps after a relatively fast start and a dismal middle of the season, they started to "find" themselves a little by winning 2 of the last 3 games.
As things stand if the season goes how I think it's going to go then they won't even have that small amount of moral victory as the year closes out.Pandarilla and mullingan like this. -
Yeah- I'm not holding my breath about playoffs this year. I'm not rooting for us to lose - but if we do it isn't the end of the world. That said I hope we pound Buffalo into the ground tonight.

It feels weird visiting a Game Day Thread from the office...
Hopefully the entire team and not just Tannehill rebounds from that poor performance on Sunday. A -

Fitzpatrick has the ability to torch our secondary. Our defense needs to play a lot better than they have the last two weeks.

We will win this game. The question is, who do we want to win the colts/pats game? And the steelers/ravens game. Both games Have at least 3 teams that we want to lose to benefit us. We could be one game away from the pats with 2 very meaningful games against the pats. Or we could be one game closer to the colts to snatch away the wild card spot we once had. For the same reason it would be good if the steelers lose.
Edit
Also the Broncos should beat the Chargers.
The big IF is can the Chiefs beat the Bengals to propel us in the lead in the playoff hunt for a wild card spot? The Chiefs did a pretty good job taking the Steelers to overtime. They are hungry for a win.
Either way we have the edge over the Bengals since we beat them, so that doesn't really matter unless the Bengals have one more win than us.
Long story short, If we beat the Bills and everything else happens that I mentioned, we will be in the lead for the hunt for the playoffs, and we will be one game away from both current wild card teams. -

This work day is going slooooooooooow. This match-up concerns me because while Fitzpatrick is Jekyll and Hyde, he is certainly capable of torching defenses and our defense has been torched quite a bit. Plus, they will be geared up for a prime time home game and a chance to ruin our season. We need a much better defensive effort and we need the offense to get some damn touchdowns. If we can, I like our chances.
LET'S GO DOLPHINS!!! -
If you don't want to find your *** on the pine, play better. -

Nobody cares what the guys at First Take say. I really don't believe that they believe what they're saying most of the time. They spout just to spout.Ophinerated likes this. -
If we cab score more points than the Bills at the end of regulation then I like our chances

We have out scored these mofo's 60 something to 30 something in our last 2 games. Its time to make that close to 100 to 40 something.

Buffalo's defense has been awful this season, much worse than Miami's. Reggie Bush should be the freshest player on the field after getting benched Sunday. If he can't get back on track tonight, I don't know if he will at all this season.
I think Tannehill will bounce back. He had 1 bad game after 4 straight mistake-free games. His first game in Prime Time should have him amped. -
