Very emotional post for me this am. It will be freezing there, but our Boys have a tough road ahead and have embraced this challenge, through injury and fortitude. There is a strong possibility this could be the last game of an incredible season. It was the ultimate rollercoaster, and the future seems bright. Win or lose, looking forward to a great and productive offseason and Camp in July. I will say this, I have been through hell, personally in 2016/2017 and the one constant that got me through this was this board and my Phins. During my darkest moments I was able to come to this board and express my feelings about my Team, and despite differences of opinions, we all love our team. I was also able to start my Dolphin Man Cave aka Dolphin Cove. I plan on working on it in the offseason as therapy and will post pics of it. I sure hope we go to NE next week just to see what we can do after two beat-downs. Would love nothing more than to eliminate Brady.

were ahead of schedule, we've got nothing to lose, let's play a physical controlled game, even though they and the media have disrespected us..tendency is to want to lose it on them, like I want to, but hopefully our awareness is super heightened and angry...yeah that's it, time to play angry.

I truly believe we CAN beat Pittsburgh, I really do. If the defensive can stop the run and force Roethlisburger into 3rd and long, Pittsburgh's offensive passing scheme takes much longer to set than does New England's, which are typically QUICK slants, giving Wake more opportunities at getting to him. Advantage Miami.
If Miami can control the ball on the ground; if the J-train can get some traction and wear down Pittsburgh's once mighty defense, it'll open up opportunities for Moore in the passing game, which we all know Moore isn't afraid to take shots down field. Advantage Miami.
Granted, these are both "IFs"
However if we do win, beating New England? I just can't see it happening. It's hard to sweep a team during the regular season, even more so to beat them 3 times but the Patriots are who they are and being the spoiler to them is something I don't see happening.
Don't worry DirtyLandry...I really do have a feeling you're going to be starting ONE MORE game thread next week! :wink2:first&goal likes this. -
With windchill they're looking at 2 degrees at kickoff tomorrow.
I'm just glad they don't have to fight thru any other elements. Time for a battle of the running attacks. Crossing my fingers that Jelani Jenkins can come in and help to neutralize Bell as much as possible. It's too bad Maxwell isn't playing, as he held Antonio Brown in check in the last meeting. What the hell is wrong with his ankle?

Wow, we have a playoff game today!!!!! Never would have thought it possible given all this team has had to overcome this season so far. New coaches. New system. Mountain of injuries. But, here we are.
Win or lose today, I'm happy with the progress we've made. Going to be tough to win this one today, but if any team can do it it's this one. Just... Don't get embarrassed out there. Show up. Play hard.Dont turn it over. The rest will take care of itself.
**** the Steelers! Let's do this!

Honestly, I don't see the Fins winning this game, but no matter what happens today, it's been a good season. Gase has to try to build on it next year and not take a step back.

BLASPHEMY!!!!
Watching NFL Network and they referred to the "Killer B's"....Ben, Brown and Bell
The Miami Dolphins' defense were the Killer B's
Oh so ready to whip up on them for that!!!Colmax, first&goal and Mexphin like this. -

I had a dream where the Dolphins won, and I screamed a lot. That last part is a guarantee...now let's just hope the first part happens!
Mistake free football is what they need. Long drives to keep their offense off the field as much as possible. Not turning over the ball is even more important with so many injuries.Last edited: Jan 8, 2017Colmax likes this. -
I don't really care if they use the name. Anyone with a bunch of B names will have that thrown at them...who cares. I just want to win.

While I will certainly be rooting for the Dolphins to win today, no matter if they win or lose today, this season has already exceeded my expectations going into this season.
While I am still not convinced Tannehill is the QB who can eventually lead this team to the SB, I
certainly recognize he is a much better QB since Gase became the head coach and the offensive line
has improved. Tannehill may never become an elite caliber NFL QB but with so many bad starting QB's in the NFL at this time, Tannehill has to be considered in the top half of the starting QB's in the NFL at this time.
We finally appear to have found a head coach who can lead this team for years to come. Gase appears to have that, "IT" factor when it comes to being able to extract the best from the players on the roster. The fact he was able to lead this team to the playoffs after losing their starting QB,its best offensive lineman and one of the best safeties in football, along with numerous other injuries, just shows his coaching ability.
Some individuals on this forum have questioned the ability of Vance Joseph as the teams DC. Yet he has done an outstanding job when you consider the fact he had to deal with a defense that probably had the worst LB unit in the entire NFL. The secondary was average at best when they had all their starters early in the year and with all the injuries, this unit is now below average at best.
Unfortunately for those of us who think this unit will only get much better in the future with upgrades at LB and in the secondary, with Joseph as the DC. The anti Joseph crowd will likely get their wish that he be replaced. Because it is very likely he will be a head coach in the NFL next year.
We can only hope Gase can hire someone as capable as Joseph if he does leave the Dolphins after this season.
So win or lose today, I feel better about the future of this team than I have in decades. After several years of questioning the front office and the coaching staffs of this team. I now look forward to seeing how this team continues to develop going forward. I think with Gase leading this team, the Patriots and Belicheck might finally have a team in the division which can topple them from their perch as division champions in the coming years.AGuyNamedAlex likes this. -

LOL @ Kurt Warner describing Moore as smart and safe with the ball and Tannehill as the big play gun slinger. Crazy there are such misconceptions about our team. Shows how little anyone knows about us.
Colmax and P h i N s A N i T y like this. -
He called Tannehill the big play guy, and Moore the "consistent, smarter" QB. It's obviously far more apparent that the exact opposite is true.
Thanks for watchin Kurt..... not... -
Sam Young inactive.... ????....

who replaced J.Jones ? ?????? What is going on...?

Damn, maxwell inactive. Was hoping for a miracle but it was not to be. Oh well, another piece of adversity for this team to overcome.

How is everyone planning to celebrate the win today?
