OK Im In FFF1 Finsiders FF with Agler/Madison - Heres my Roster

its pretty good for 12 teams i would say, the only disaster is that reggie wayne will now be catching passes from kerry collins instead of peyton for the whole year

I would've not bothered taking 2 QBs so close together, and honestly I'd probably have taken Manning before Schaub. I don't expect Manning to have so many INTs this year.

Yeah i pick wayne and 12 hrs later they annnounce Manning is in surgery. Not that i didnt know it was possible, but hey a old guy in Collins looking for the old Wayne might work im gonna start him week one. Kinda hoping one of my sleepers take off to give me cushion

My first FF team and not getting a top 5 QB (not hitting qb till rd 6) I decided to take some insurance there. Thought maybe I could swap them each week according to schedule or if someone gets hurt Manning is good trade bait. probably reached on manning i thought

I think you need RB2 help in the worst way. Im not even close to sold on Knowshown. The guy I went hard after for RB2 was Reggie Bush but in a league of all Dolphin fans that would be difficult to pull off. Id sooner make a buy low run for Beanie Wells or Brandon Jacobs who people have a lot of questions about or even a good back like a Matt Forte. I dont think much of Fred Jackson either, I stayed away from all bills except Donald Jones/Marcus Easley on waivers...their OL sucks and their QB and WR play is marginal. I cant see much success coming from that offense. I might try and package Tony Gonzalez (sell high before people realize his stats are going to decline with julio jones around as well and his late season play was eh) with Knowshown or Jackson for a better RB 2 option and have the other one in the flex slot

Barring injury, I think his running back situation is fine. LeSean McCoy is a top 5 RB and I think Moreno will be in the top 20 range... same with Jackson.

I think you overvalue Bush and undervalue Moreno/Jackson personally.

Agreed completely. Moreno will be fine. Bush is a huge question mark in a new situation.

Edit: Also, why do people keep getting his name wrong? It's Schaub, not Shaub. There's a C in there. :lol:

I love your team. I do think you need more depth at RB though.

Thats your opinion. I think Moreno and Jackson both lose starting jobs by week 8. Moreno probably due to a hamstring pull and Jackson because hes on the wrong side of 30 and they have so much invested in Spiller

Fred Jackson hasn't exactly been a featured back throughout his career. He doesn't have the wear and tear that, say, Michael Turner has to deal with. It's true that he's on the wrong side of 30 (actually, he's exactly 30 years old), but he hasn't had the workload that causes 30+ year olds to break down.

I like Schaub more than Eli. And that's the QB strategy I usually use. I'm in a league where QBs go ridiculously early. This year the top six picks (12 team league) were QBs. So I usually load up on RBs and WRs with my first 4 or 5 picks and then take a couple of later tier QBs. Usually I can play the match-ups and get enough out of my QBs and then out score people with the rest of my roster.

he hasnt had the nfl workloads but I feel like he has everything working against him; Spiller, poor OL, age, strong division/tough schedule, team that is going to be playing from behind a lot....not conducive to being a good fantasy back imo

He would be better off buying low on james starks who will have the gb starting job sooner then later

Last year FJ averaged just under 6 points per game in my Yahoo league. That was good for 20th among backs. I see producing similar numbers this year. That's not bad for your 3rd back (flex, at that) in a 12 team league.

He had Spiller and a poor OL last season; didn't bother him. Age doesn't work against him because of the lack of work load, at least not this year. And the Bills were playing from behind the last two years, and he still put up good fantasy numbers.

And I think you're exaggerating the effect Spiller will have on Jackson. I don't think Spiller will do very much this year.

Wow did you jinx me lol. I actually sat him week 1 since mcgahee but my flex wr braylon (thought maybe he would be targeted more)crapped out also. Schaub didnt need to throw so im 0-1 firt week. Next up Jesse Aglers team who had the most points week one. The one back I sat last week Tolbert gets 36 pts lol. Now i wanna start him in my flex spot but he cant do that again after a knee tweak can he? What ya guys think of Lance Moore when he comes back? He was released and i grabed him to replace Amendola. Figure he might be a good flex in wk three with no setbacks

Update thought i picked up Moore but didnt confirm my add/drop

so replace amendola with Mario Manningham and little with Mike sims Walker hope these guys step up i need depth.

Ok wow, Manningham fell one spot on waivers and i didnt get him thought thAt was a lock but ok no problem. Got walker but not sold on him.

Got lance moore after another dropped him quick. My thought was to keep Moore for week three.

OK so I need a flex! TOLBERT, MOORE, SIMS WALKER? If i check before game time and moore is active would you play him? if not what about tolbert vs NE? (he's a good dump off and im in PPR) or take a chance with amendola out and hope Walker gets a good look . Only others available are knowshon and braylon edwards and ones hurt one is in a no throw offense against dallas new look d.

EDIT:

Put in tolbert this weeks just to be safe and come away with something. WON with 142.04 RB: at least top two are killing it. Jackson & Mcoy, and Tolberts money for something even though Mathews jumped in more this week.
Worried about my receivers now lol, but im told dont panic! Roddy another not so steller game and reggie wayne got shut down. For him, more double teams I expect with no passer. I now have lance more that may turn into a great flex option.

What ya think? I beleive I have to live/die with Roddy and wayne there just isnt anything else out there. (maybe I caught them when there starting to decline and no Manning.

I do have Eli and Gonzalez but the options to propose a trade arent that good value yet for what im giving up. I guess I wait for injuries to pile up . This thread is kinda quiet but i'll keep updating. I beat Agler today nice little fist pump when i go to the Finsiders chat this week lol
