What would you rather have? The 1st overall pick in the draft or a win over the Pats, thus putting an end to their undefeated quest. I ask this because, if we beat the Pats, I think that we will beat the Bengals as well. This would most likely drop our pick to #4. Very tough call, but I would choose to put an end to the Pats' streak. We can still get a great player at #4, save a little cap space, and we would be on a roll going into next season.

Win games. that is what your team should be playing for right now. Show people that your ONE win was not a fluke
-
I want that ******* win.
-
this is the win(if the only one) that i have wanted for the season...i am not a big fan of the legacy but i will preserve it at all cost from a division opponent
-
THis shouldn't even be a debate.
In addition why any Dolphin fan can't look fondly back on an a Dolphins accomplishment no other team has ever done is beyond me. -
Beat the Patsies, no doubt.
-
Beat the Pats. Not even close.
-
Beat the Patriots. I will go nuts if we do it.
I don't know the tiebreaking procedures, but we will probably end up with the first even if we win out. -
I think the vote is unanimous on this one.
Fins UP
Pats DOWN -
What you need to ask yourself what is more likely? I'd love to see us win this week, but I think we'll be lucky to beat the spread. We can't stop them from running and we can't stop them from passing = we can't stop them from scoring. Still stranger things have happened. It would be one of the all biggest upsets considering they are favored by 22 points.
-
i think we can win AND still get the first pick.
-
-
How about we beat the Pats and still get the # 1 pick.
-
EDIT: BTW... Beat the PATSIES!!! -
I love your always optimism Ken. It's great and it's infectious. :-)
-
Everybody has voted to: Beat the stinking pants of the PATS ! There is no debate there ! End of discussion...

Same thing applies here... You can't be a true fan of any team if you lose hope in them.... -
Not losing hope. Bringing a bottle of champagne to Mike's on Sunday for the game. Hopefully we can pop the cork afterwards!
-
Of course I would rather beat the Pats and save the record but seriously folks I could never under ANY circumstance hope for a Dolphin loss for a draft pick no matter who the opponent.
I will always root for the Dolphins no matter what!
In fact last year I went to Indy the last game of the season and had an argument on Finheaven with some that wanted to see the Dolphins lose that game. I don't roll like that. I'll root for my team and let things fall as they may.
I really hope we shock the Patriots and whip the Bengals and leave this horrible season with a 3 game winning streak. -
lol Really?
We beat the Pats it will be the biggest upset in my book.
Besides any pick would help this team. -
i dont even want the number 1 pick, id be just as happy with number 2, less money less pressure, theres not one clear cut number 1 pick this year so 2 would be better for me...

no question

Beat the Pats, I don't care about getting the #1 pick compared to doing that. Besides, a loss to the Bengals and Miami locks up #1 anyway.
I'd rather go out with a 3 game win streak, even if that drops us down to #3, which is about as far as the Phins can fall, I think. There would still be plenty of good players to choose from.
I'd love to see Cam tell the guys that ONLY this game really matters, and to play as hard as they can. The Pats still have to pace themselves a bit, as they have at least 4 more games to go (1 season, three playoffs) while the Phins can go all out and not worry about the Bengals.
I'd go after Brady all game long, making him pay for staying in the game with as many hits as possible. Bill might wonder if a perfect season is worth risking an injury to Tom -and losing out on another Super Bowl if that happens. -
They really have to consider and balance it all... Risk the SB to try to make history going undefeated... -
If your a player or coach, and have to think about throwing a game to get a better draft pick or winning, then you do not deserve to be in NFL. There are no if, ands, or but, "you play the game to win" as the great philosopher Denny Green once said.
Getting a quality player with your overall #1 pick is not guaranteed, getting your self-respect with the win (Or knowing you did your best) is. -
This is a bad year to get the #1 overall pick. Might as well keep a long storied record in the Dolphins house and show the Patsies the door.
-
Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Looks like a Patriots fan voted now...
62-1 for a win over the Pats... -
Beat the Patriots with our own version of Wes- Camarillo!!! Throw in a heap of Booker, some Gado, Cleo to Ginn happening, some JT slammin’ Brady, maybe a Porter play or three, a little weather equalizer going on, some frozen Moss fingers, an early Christmas present to all us Dolphans, and there you have it!!!

I would like for Miami to win out and not get the 1st overall pick because it would be easier to trade out if they get the 2nd or 3rd pick. But yeah a Fins win over the Pats to preserve the legacy would be great.
