Interesting idea, but I've done about 50 CBS board mock drafts, using the NFL Draft for team needs, and have never had OJ Howard fall to 22.

 

Carroo isn't what Parker can be and reason why we selected him in round 1.
We need an Alpha X, like Dez or AJ Green or Julio. Carroo is less accomplished than Parker, despite him being hurt. Plus, I don't think you can get a 2nd for Parker

We have a decent set of WR's even if Parker hasn't shown us everything we hoped for. I wouldn't suddenly make that unit a question mark again by assuming Carroo will pan out. So I'm also a no.

I'd rather take the chance Parker will remain injury prone than the chance of drafting someone as good as him who might still be injury prone.

The difference is probably you use "user voted" team needs. I use the NFL Mock as mine.

I'd love it if Howard fell to us though.

 

When I do the mock Howard is gone in the top 10-11 every time. Peppers is there probably over 75-80% of the time and when he is I take him.

 

Your all Crazy! No way in the world I trade Parker he was injured got better and needed time to get his game on. This is his year Parker will become the Alpha and Landry will still talk more :) No way I trade him this year!

 

I'm not so sure I'd call him an "alpha". He's a pretty quiet guy.

 

I doubt anyone would trade a 2nd for him at this point. The production just isn't there. I'm still hopeful that the develop into a true #1, so I would hang on to him.

 

I don't see any reason to trade away offensive weapons.

I didn't mean any offense, I was just following suit of the couple "no's" ahead of me, but I would site Vontae Davis, spend a 1st then trade him for a 2nd and watch him become a probowler on another team, not into seeing that transpire again.

I would trade Parker for a 1st, if I can't get my pound price I'll just see if he can develop, I'm not willing to take a loss on him yet, he's definitely show us flashes of potential alpha WR.

 

Only way I trade him is for a low 1st or high 2nd. Either way he is probably moved next year if he doesn't show something in year 3.

 

Parker is better than Juice, give your head a shake.

 

I wouldn't do this because he's a receiver that Tannehill trusts, and I'd much rather not do anything that would hinder Tannehill. Plus, there's no one else on the roster that has Parker's skillset.

 

Because of injuries and his inconsistent play since being drafted in 2015, I don't see any team offering the Dolphins a 2nd round pick for Parker. A late 4th round or 5th round draft pick is about the best they could get for him, based on his play the past two seasons.

They are much better off keeping him on the roster and hoping he develops into a better player this coming season.

 

Just draft Taywan Taylor it is much easier

 

Hilltopper in the house, lol, I really like TT, he looks like Landry all over again.

WKU is pushing out some talent recently, Lamp is a great prospect, Higbee, TT, Doughty, NFL is getting injected with Hilltoppers, lol.

 

I don't either, much agreed. Between the injuries and immaturity, he's still a bit of a wild card that could go one way or the other. I personally really like the kid and think he has tremendous upside.

The third year wide receiver phenomenon is in effect this year, so I'm really looking forward to see what him and Tannehill can do (praying they both stay healthy). If they're both firing on all cylinders, I think that our offense will be quite explosive and can dictate tempo and points from the onset.

To play the hypothetical and say that another team actually offered a second round pick, well, that's tough. I still don't think I would do it, just because I want to see what's in store for Parker's third year, for better or worse.

I'll be honest and say it's definitely thought provoking, though.

 

I feel like we have to move somebody here. The drafting of Caroo makes 0 sense unless the plan was to either trade Parker/Landry or let either Landry or Stills walk. Either that, or for reason our FO thinks a #4 wideout is worth 3 mid round draft picks. If the latter is the case, they should all be unemployed right now. They clearly liked Caroo and feel he can be a player ... so what was the plan? We already Parker, Landry and Stills. I just find it really hard to believe they became that enamored of a single player, and/or the heavy use 4 WR sets needed to even come close to justification.

Trade Parker? Is this Finheaven or has the main become this bad? Kid has flashed plenty of ability in his limited playing time. We drafted him knowing he was coming off a bum foot, which had minor complications (screw replacement) and foiled his rookie season. And he had a bum hammy last season. **** happens... Nothing indicates that is a long term concern. I guarantee we could get at minimum, a 2nd round pick for Parker. Every team in the league would be happy to take advantage of us.

He's young kid, with tremendous potential, no character concerns, on a rookie contract, and some of you want to give him away for.... what exactly? Have a little patience.

 

Actually, Parker does have some character concerns. The word is that he's very anti-social and fairly meek. This staff loves the "alphas" and so far Parker has been anything but that.

However, I do think he has a really great talent that this team needs. If the coaching staff feels like they can get that out of him then by all means don't trade him. However, if they feel as if he's a lost cause, trade him before he loses all value. FWIW, I think it's the former scenario and Parker won't be going anywhere.

 

Another No from me as well. Make s no sense to trade Parker at this point. He is young and dynamic and on the upswing. He seems like he is getting over his injury problems and is that big target you want to throw jump balls to. And I don't know about anyone else but I sure didn't see much reason to believe that Carroo can take over Parkers spot based on last season.

 

The idea is we ave plenty of holes to fill? So... we create another one? And then use the pick to package with another pick? So we have Parker, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, and we trade Parker for a 2nd and trade our other 2nd for another first.... Um, that's one less player. Hard to fill holes with one less pick and one less WR.

Secondly, your idea of 2nd year players becoming pro bowlers or they're busts is ridiculous. Ridiculous is a generous term. Especially when said player has flashed pro bowl ability. This isn't Dion Jordon we're talking about, Parker can actually play.

 

I don't know much about AJ Green either, but he seems like a quiet guy. Alpha means, clear cut superstar #1 in this context, I believe. Parker's not gonna be Dez Bryant out there. Marvin Harrison, AJ Green, etc. quiet dudes but KILLED the field.

Parker has that ability. If he ever gets motivated ... man. I keep hearing about Landry's magical motivational mojo rubbing off. We NEED that to rub off on Parker. He's our best shot at a superstar WR right now.

yeah. There are several out there. Andrews RB with the Titans. Rainey with the Giants.

I think Taylor can stretch the field a little better then Landry. Taylor was not much in the slot (meaning he did not run a lot of slot plays) , although he ran all routes.

Higbee should be a beast in that 2 TE offense they are putting in for the Rams.
