Great to see. Players and coaches visibly fired up. Bet he starts vs Pittsburgh

That is great news. Hoping he can stay upright and get this season back on track, but more importantly stay healthy!

Seeing Tua back on the practice field is definitely a welcoming site. Hope he's back sooner than later. -
This is great for Tua. First sign that he is doing better and probably doesn’t have a severe case of post concussion syndrome right now. Which is most important…
But from a league standpoint, What does this mean exactly?
Is he allowed to practice or do light workouts with the team if he is still in protocols?
Is he technically cleared now? But maybe needs extra time to get his feet back under him ?(understandable)dolphin25 likes this. -

So, Tua got four outside opinions from actual doctors that don't seem to be concerned about long term effects. Just want to reiterate that before all the doctors on here can add their two cents.

So even if Tua's availability is less than desired, if he can manage 80% availability but still play at a very high level consistently (yet to be demonstrated), then yeah the injury prone excuse has to be thrown away regarding whether he's our franchise QB or not. He'll still be injury prone, but that won't be an excuse to say he isn't our long term answer at QB.KeyFin likes this. -

This organization has placed such little value on the very foundation of any offensive unit…the OL for decades and the mediocre results have proven themselves.
You get an OL than can give a quarterback 4 seconds to throw the ball…you get an OL that can push the LOS scrimmage 5 yards by the time the RB is handed the ball and I’ll show an unbeatable team.
You show me a team that places all of its eggs in the quarterback basket arguing that so in so can do it and considering the OL as an after thought and I’ll show you a losing team…and a quarterback that is either benched or iut due to injury -

I don't think any quarterback will survive behind this offensive line. Doesn't matter who it is. Greg Little, Branden Shell? Yeah, that's not gonna cut it. These are fringe NFL players that just happen to have some experience. Conner Williams was getting bullied all day, Eichenberg has been a turnstile, Hunt has been terrible with penalties, Armstead injured. We're in trouble once again with the O line. It's been haunting us every bit as long as not having a quarterback has.

Is it fair to your points? Maybe not. But each of us determine what's fair and what's not. -
Was Tagovailoa knocked out the game? Sure he was…so was Bridgewater and Thompson.
PFF has our OL ranked at the bottom of the league in pass protection. It doesn’t matter if you’re Tagovailoa, Mahomes, Allen or Herbert; When your line is THAT POOR at pass blocking and allowing your quarterback to get hit that many times, sooner of later you’re going to get knocked out.dolphin25 likes this. -
I don't dislike Tua. I root for the guy. But that's completely different from acknowledging the reality that Tua misses games. Every year. So you've got to keep him from getting hit more than you do a guy like Tannehill, for health reasons. Obviously every QB is going to play worse statistically when they're under constant pressure and getting hit, so I'm not talking about this from a stats perspective.
I understand that all QBs can get hurt. Let me try to explain it this way: Tua is an avocado, and Tannehill was a coconut. If I go up on the roof ofa house and drop the avocado and coconut down to the driveway, the avocado probably breaks on the first or second drop. The coconut will last much much longer.hitman8 likes this. -
Read this and convince me there's not an agenda to attack the Dolphins for things that other teams openly disregard with impunity.

In short, he's being himself and its obvious that everyone in that locker room deeply cares about him as a person and a player.Fishhead, OwesOwn614 and dolphin25 like this. -
