Herbert has proven so far to be the biggest choker of them all, and Lamar is getting better but is justifiably being criticized nationally for not being able to win in the playoffs — he really has no excuses with the team he's been on.

Anti-Tua guys would have more credibility if they applied the same standards to all QBs, but they don't.

 

This is some weak trolling. Literally nobody ever said judge them by super bowl wins. We judge them by their abilities to win playoff games and big games against good teams.

Any GM in the NFL and anybody with at least 2 brain cells would choose Joe, Lamar, Josh, or Justin over Tua without even giving it a second thought.

 

So in the same post you say you judge QBs by their ability to win playoff games, yet you're still in denial about Herbert being the biggest choker of all the QBs mentioned.

Sorry, according to your own criteria, Herbert is the worst QB of the bunch because all that matters is playoffs, not making the playoffs because that's "not a big accomplishment".

It's still worth pointing out all the inconsistencies though. And you being so utterly wrong about Tua, from claims he couldn't play well with a bad OL, couldn't be a good deep ball thrower, claims he couldn't play well against good teams, etc. show us how little your evaluation matters because it's so often wrong.

Herbert lowers the probability of winning in the playoffs (based only on what we've seen thus far of course) way more than Tua. You're not being honest. Your own criteria imply Tua > Herbert.

 

First of all I am a Burrow guy but stop comparing Tua to Jackson or Allen.
These guys have won playoffs games ,our guy has appeared in one and wasn't even a game.
And it's really dumb when Tua is 1-8 against the guy you are comparing him to meaning Allen.

We all know that. You're just not willing to be honest enough to admit it. Your own criteria imply Tua > Herbert.

Also, it has not "always" been the case that your goalposts were winning a damn playoff game. You had so many goalposts that you systematically moved each time Tua showed he could do what you said he couldn't. So winning a playoff game was one of the later goalposts, and one that's still standing.

 

Nit losing more playoffs games was not my goalpost. Winning a playoff was my goalpost. Until Tua or Herbert do that, they are both not good enough. Tua has done absolutely nothing to prove he is better than Herbert at winning playoff games and winning big games against good teams.

 

Technically the rating is a predictor of performance in those conditions, so statistically you can make the argument Tua > Herbert based on the probability of winning a playoff game (albeit with extremely small sample size for both, which means we really should wait until we have large enough sample size).

In any case, all I'm asking is that you no longer act like Herbert is better than Tua based on the criteria you've used in the past. If you can accept that we're fine.
