That ireland will stay.
Sherman won't be fired.
Everything stays the same and we lose another year.
At this point, I would rather clean house than keep it status quo.
At the very least Sherman needs to be fired. I can't waste another year getting aggravated over this ****.

If Ireland doesn't go I will live. I'd rather him go, but we could do worse.
However if Sherman doesn't go....ill rampage.2socks likes this. -
At the current Ireland/Philbin trend, if they stay another year we will be 9-7. So we're due for a winning season at least.

I'd rather keep Sherman and fire Ireland, no doubt in my mind that the biggest issue with this team is the talent level, I don't think this coaching staff is great but I think we were a 7-8 win team talent wise and thats why we are what we are. Its not Sherman's fault that we had literally one of the worst Olines in the history of the league and very little talent at the Rb position. We had a good WR corp and Tannehill improved but our offense was hampered by the lack of talent on the Oline and the Running game. Ireland has to be fired or there will be no playoffs next year either. I'd say there is a very good chance we could regress if we keep Ireland. He will be a lame duck making desperation moves to win now, those moves always backfire. Thats not what we need with a young Qb.

When your entire draft class collectively had 37 tackles, as a GM you are a problem.....
Their draft class had something like 800+ snaps this year.....Kiko Alonso had 1500 himself....
Ireland is about as big a problem as Sherman, he drafts players Philbin refuses to play.....
Which gets me into something else how with all that is being speculated about the GM/Coach riff, how can they exist another year?!?! -

2015 10-6
2017 11-5 Win Div
2018 12-4 First Round Bye
2019 13-3 AFC Championship
2020 Superbowl Champs!
Then the 12 year turnaround plan will be complete.GreysonWinfield, unifiedtheory and schmolioot like this. -
After seeing the names being thrown out there in the media as possible replacements (Mangini etc) we're in a lose lose situation.

I don't mind if Sherman stays, if that's who Philbin wants. I do mind of Ireland stays and won't be happy if he does. Enough is enough.

But, there was enough talent on the field to get to the playoffs. The offensive playcalling all season, and the final 2 games in particular was, imo, the biggest reason we are not preparing for cinci right now. He is an immediate threat to the success of this team.Aquafin likes this. -
I think I am willing to give the staff one more year... Year three is really where I have been expecting anything to happen anyways. I was just blind sided by the unexpected hopes of playoffs this year even though I was expecting 8-8 all along. It's funny to think we are just a hand full of plays away from being as good as 11-5, yet we all want to blow it up and start over?
As far as Ireland... I can't decide if he is as good as his fans think or as bad as his haters think, prob somewhere in the middle. I am probably ready to see him go, but who would take his place that wouldnt want to bring in his own HC?2socks likes this. -

The problem is Ross is in a sticky situation with the NFL investigation still going on and not likely to be resolved until after the SB. That would be way too late to make personnel decisions. This story illustrates the delima that Ross faces and why we may not get any answers anytime soon.

Wells's report be damned, If he is going to make a move he needs to just do it and get on with everything else.

If anyone has proved their ineptness, it would Ireland. I know the lynch mob is angry and wants blood but I'm not sure firing Sherman solves our problem. While his playcalling was head scratching at times, this offense was held back by the worst OL in Dolphins history and a pair of RB's who wouldn't start on any other team. We do have talent, that is true. Teams with huge, glaring holes at multiple positions(OL, LB, RB) don't make the playoffs.

Another thread on this. Jesus Christ.

Yes, that was inappropriate, but among the mess that is the Dolphins early offseason I don;t think that matters anymore. lol.
If anyone was offended though, I apologize. :) -
It was New Year's just 48 hours ago, so... -

Because at least I am unlikely to be massively disappointed in any season if it keeps improving. Though I feel weirdly disappointed by this season. -

Not the Dolphins fight song though. -
And what is a white ibanez anyways? -
