Since we picked up Tuas option and will have him for two more years under contract can we not trade him to baltimore along with a few picks next year and have them trade Jackson to us? Could we not work out a new contract with him and save ourselves 2 years of maybes with this stacked team and save ourselves from having to pay 100 million to Tua if he stays healthy?
This would allow Baltimore to have a starting qb this year since Jackson will sit out most likely and it will give him a contract he wants and we get a proven qb with a Super Bowl ready team minus the QB.
why can’t this happen?

You don't want to pay Tua $100+ million if he stays healthy and put up the similar numbers to last year, but you do want to give Jackson $200+ million guaranteed and he is just as much as an injury risk than Tua?
Not to mention Lamar Jackson only fits one type of offense, a Lamar Jackson college style offense. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle would be rendered useless.
There's a reason nobody wants him, even the truly quarterback needy teams.Ducken and Tin Indian like this. -
In short - because this isn't Madden.
More detail: It would be ludicrous to give up a player like Tua, and draft capital and a LOT more money to take on a player who isn't a better passer and also has injury concerns.Ducken likes this. -

And for the record, the $200 million is what Jackson is asking for, nobody has put that number on him hence why nobody wants him.Ducken likes this. -
So again, if you think Tua is the better player AND the injury concerns are the same. Then why wasn't Tua offered something similar? -

I'll help you out though. They don't have the same injury risk moving forward. It's not similar in the slightest. -

Now you have Ross cleaning house because McDaniel is all in on Tua.
You're funny.Ducken, djphinfan, Striking and 1 other person like this. -
You got the coach that loves Tua, and the GM that drafted him and drafted 2 other 1st round busts in the same draft.
No hatred here. I would hope someone loses their job. Grier historically pretty good at shifting blame.dolphin25 likes this. -

Would you say you are dead wrong or would you say : yeah but, but.....weapons around him are talented, not Tua".
Our HC is extremely pleased with Tua going forward so don't take it personal if I take his professional evaluation over yours.
And don't embarrass yourself and say you're rooting for Tua and hope he's it. You want Tua out of Miami ,period.
Perhaps Tua's success would diminish the chances of YOUR team being successful? Especially if that team is a division rival.Striking and Tuanon4Life like this. -

What I DO know is Tua is QB1 and that's not coming from an opinion standpoint. You have no choice but to root against Tua just like the rest of us have to root against Allen, Jones, Rodgers(?) . ..... -
Different scenario for Hurts; you pay that man and you're letting a few vital veterans walk away. Maybe they're the same team, maybe not. But paying it two years early is a recipe for disaster.Springveldt and Tuanon4Life like this. -
Are you going to have all of these petty criticisms or actually admit we have the right people in the right places at the right time?
