Since even the sporting new has basically said that our QB sucks and since Michael Vick is a free agent at the end of the year, would you make the trade??

We win the game and the Sporting News calls out Henne, and not Sanchez? How stupid.
As per the question, I don't want anything to do with Mike Vick.Dolfan330 and MarinePhinFan like this. -
No. Miami needs a better play caller and QB but the answer isn't Vick.

Yes. Also, get rid of Henning because even with Vick, I'm sure old man river would still find a way to neutralize him.

So who the hell would Vick then throw to?

Well since you state it yourself that vick is a free agent at the end of the year, why would we need to trade Marshall. This is a rather useless debate. Bess, Hartline and Wallace/Moore just isnt going to get it done regardless of who's throwing the damn ball.

I don't know about the whole trading Marshall thing, but yes I would absolutely love Michael Vick in Miami.

Vick is still a long term question-mark for me. He's got a great offensive system in Philly. And, he's still a bit of a wild-card as to whether he's become a bonafide, long term NFL pocket QB who can make big plays. At the same time he is also still susceptible to injury given how he plays.
Beyond that, he has tremendous talent at Philly - two very good WR's and a great RB. He would not have that here.
I can see why SN is ripping Henne. He completed 5 passes in the game. 5! And, if the Jets WR's hold onto easily catchable passes when they are wide open - the Jets win and no one is ripping Sanchez today.
But you know, this actually sounds a lot better than a guy who'll just sit in the pocket forever (let alone makes horrid decisions vs any kind of zone coverage) and a guy who can't control his emotions (for better or for worse) and is a me-first receiver being paid $50 mil.

Can't really disagree with that. But, just not sure Vick would be what Miami fans would think. Maybe if we bring James Urban (Philly QB coach) in as the OC.
no unless he brings Reid, OC Mornhinweg, and QB coach with him
I'd be curious to see what Vick can do with this offensive line, Black Ninja, Moore, Hartline, and Lil Beast.

And if our DB's catch the other 5-6 balls that hit them in the hands we win by double digits and Henne maybe gets the ball more than one time without the endzone on his heels.
Henne played badly. But do you guys think it may just be possible that the weather and the Jests defense (who doesn't suck) maybe had a little to do with that play? Add on to it Henning being a ******ed old man and what we get is a recipe for disaster.
And no to the question. Vick will go back to sucking soon. It's hard NOT to succeed with the playmakers he has on that team.

We do not have the players to maximize on Chad Henne's skillset, let alone Mike Vick. Hell, I wanted Vick when he came out of jail but I know we won't make him look good. Their offensive philosophy is built on speed and we certainly lack that.

You would have to be smoking crack not to take this trade, if it were available...Vick is playing better than ever, and he would attract a ton of free agents were he to play down here.
I would make that trade in about two seconds. Henne cannot do what the coaches desire him to do, and he is getting worse instead of better. I think Henne should be arrested for impersonating a QB. No offense intended to you Henne supporters out there, I like the guy too but YiKeS! Somethings gotta give.
One of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard of.
Getting Vick would be a disaster as he won't look nearly as good in another system, especially ours run by a blistering idiot and a senile old man, but trading away the only playmaker on our offense to get him when he becomes a FA next year? Absolutely comical.

If you look at the receivers on the Eagles. You would see that they have no need for Marshall. So whether I would trade Vick for Marshall is irrelevant. Because the Eagles would never make that trade to begin with. I suspect that the Eagles will sign Vick to a long term contract and the Eagle QB on the block is going to be Kevin Kolb. So the question should be. Should the Dolphins trade their first round draft pick for Kolb?
first off, if he is a FA we dont need to trade for him and secondly eagles arent getting rid of him.
Henne played a poor game, but he didn't throw a pick. Thats some kind of improvement for me.
If that were to happen, I wouldn't watch a game or purchase any fins merchandise until Vick is off the team.

NO.... I wouldn't trade Marshall for Vick.
You'd have Vick with no downfield threat to give him space to do anything with.
Vick is playing great b/c of the offense & system he's in (He has ALL the tools he needs to thrive!)
I couldn't imagine how bad Vick would look with only Bess, Fasano, Hartline, Moore, and Wallace to throw to and no ground game to help him out.
If he comes here, he says bye bye to his vertical threats that he loves so much. He says bye bye to having WRs and RB running free all around the field. He says bye bye to his better TE. He says bye bye to dumping it off to McCoy. He says bye bye to all his running room with no Jackson & Maclin stretching a defense thin up front.
Vick would NOT look like the Vick of Philly here.
Even though he'd be worse off here, it would be silly not to do such a trade. I'm surprised it's a topic of debate.
Anytime you can trade an under performing WR for a potential MVP QB, it is a coup.

Its so cute to see the Vick man-love that's going on.
Andy Reid's system made Doug Pederson, Mike McMahon and AJ Feely look good. He consistently puts a very good offense together regardless of player turnover. Andy is super aggressive and would have them throwing every down if he could.

I am not a Henne lover, or hater. I think he has had some good plays and has been given ample opportunity show what he has, but it has not been in his favor. I like every quality that this kid has to offer us but the winds of change must blow through Miami and the sooner the better. Unless something changes neither Henne, or Henning will be back next year, and that won't hurt my feelings at all. We should have scored 20 points on the JETS but blew all of the opportunities.
I also think that Sporano is making a huge mistake not alternating in Thigpen. It would take the pressure of Chad, give our back up some much needed play time and really disrupt the defense. Not seeing this as a Head Coach is a painful reminder that Sporano can't see past the offensive line that he grew up coaching. To ensure the fact that Thigpen is a little more relaxed on the field in case Henne gets hurt Tyler should be playing in every game if only a handful of snaps.
Last off season we went through the defense, this year it needs to be the offense, and personally I would fire Tony Sporano too. This team has all of the base talent that we need but must get a new structure / system in place. The offense lacks identity and energy and has for most of the year. A new coach with a track record of winning the big game could turn this team into a winner is no time. The necessary fix is bigger than Henne or Henning - it needs to start at the top. Sporano should be a head coach at the college level and has no business being a head coach in the NFL, not yet anyway.
