Say what we will, but this is the Jarvis fire we all miss and wish was still around from that standpoint.
I support the decision to trade him, however this type of leadership is like he say’s 34x.....contagious.

But don’t be that guy that acts like he was some worthless player who we hated having on the team in his tenure here.Sceeto, Irishman and bigballa2102 like this. -
so glad you posted this, i was watching this last night and the best thing he said was "i cant take no days off because i cant be great that way" funny how this kind of passion was too much for gase. Got his money and still telling people to practice as well as himself. Thats a gamer if i ever seen one. Big ups to you Juice!!!! Miami has had little greatness since #13!!

I get he was giving Gase and company some trouble when the team was losing. But he was here for years without these issues.
I won’t demonize him for complaining to the coaches in that 2017 setting. Others want to? That’s fine, I just think it’s kind of funny.Sceeto and bigballa2102 like this. -
Its funny to me i read all these posts of everyone "in the know" yet miami has never gotten better when everyone's a cancer i wasn't thrilled with the ajayi trade but it could be positive with drake. We let a top 5 receiver go for peanuts and have noone to fill his shoes juice does alot that noone really even understand how big juice was to miami and asking edelman to produce the same way isnt going to happen.Sceeto likes this. -
This is who Landry is. Great play followed up with acting like a dumbazz.

I can take that video two different ways-
1) He wants the team to get better and he was trying to give a passionate speech about working hard.
2) He was tired and felt others weren't pulling their weight. He was pissed because he had to work harder than others....which is the EXACT OPPOSITE attitude of what he's lecturing them about.
One is a leader stepping up, the other is a selfish jerk who makes everything about him. I'll let you guys decide which version we just watched there. -
Athletes are a different animal, guy’s like Jarvis CAN motivate other football players.
He may not have a post football career in speaking to corporate America, but he just might be perfect for athletes.Sceeto likes this. -

This season I expect to see a balanced offense with a lot more people taking ownership of a winning culture. Drake should have better running lanes. Wilson, Grant and Stills should have more clean looks on deep routes. Amendola, Parker and Gesicki will be able to work from sideline to sideline. It all starts up front though and that's the key- giving RT enough time to work the whole field.Irishman likes this. -
I’m not smart enough in that field to know if that’s the right thing to do for a culture that’s been a joke, maybe it is..who the fu## knows..
Here’s what I know. I know I would of paid him 12 mill a year, and I know that he can’t play on the outside effectively, I know he’s very talented inside his own box, and I know his demands were met by another team.. -

You know, it's important to note that how we feel about Jarvis after the fact is a personal opinion rather it's right or wrong on any of our parts is unknown and unprovable.
So anyone claiming otherwise, or trying to poke fun for those of us who didn't flip the switch to acting like Jarvis was a horrible guy and nobody wanted him, aren't "loving it" we are simply just seeing it differently.
No reason for anyone to hop on a high horse over something so basic. -
However after that team is like 1-5? All bets are off in regards to how he responds i think.mooseguts likes this. -
I do think he's being honest in the clip.
Whether or not it's effective is up for debate. I was having flashbacks of Jameis Winston's infamous "Eat a W" pregame hype up while I was watching.eltos_lightfoot likes this. -

I just can't be THAT guy. -
I agree that we loved him in our uniform and on our field, but wouldnt you agree only for the right price point?
O, he’s out in public right now telling everyone that because he was blessed by god to play football he now goes around to everyone saying “ bless you”
That’s crazy talk manFin-O likes this. -
We want to give Adam Gase, Devante Parker and the team as a whole all these passes for 2016 because of Jay Cutler, hurricanes, and coaches doing blow off of escorts....
But some (not you) seem to insist on demonizing an obvious emotional player who was frustrated with the situation he found himself in as well. And the fact the team offered to make him our highest paid WR tells me that we most likely are overanalyzing or overexaggerating the talks he was the modern day T.O.
Again, I can't tell you I would've been happy with paying him what the Browns did, I do think him not being here can possibly make us a better offense in the long-run. I fully support our team trading him.
I just refuse to attack his character to make myself feel better about the situation, that's too typical of how people on social media react to just about everything.Phins_to_Win likes this. -
My comments
1) Knowing the camera is there changes how people behave, so I don’t know enough about Landry’s off camera behaviour to know if that is genuine or not. If it isn’t how he behaves when the cameras aren’t there then it will not work.
2) Not knowing the context, but if one of the people he was calling out was genuinely injured then what he said could backfire badly. On the other hand if other players were not working through fatigue then it could be effective.
3) he inferred this was what was done in the past at the Browns, but he wasn’t there. Again this has a risk of blowing up in his face if the Wrs from last year think he’s spouting off about things he doesn’t know about.
4) “That s#&t is contaigous” hmmm, maybe a reference to Devante Parker.
Without knowing more about the situation/background I’d say it is more likely to turn his teammates against him than motivate them, but if it was in the right situation it could have been effective. -
He had several more stupid penalties in the following games and those 1st down celebrations started to piss me off- you don't celebrate a six yard catch when you're down 20. What really did me in on him was AFTER game 17 when he punches a guy, then said "There was nothing else I could do- the guy choked me!" He had almost two hours to reflect on starting a brawl and his very first response was that it wasn't his fault. That tells me he's just too darn immature and doesn't get it at all- he had to be traded in my opinion and I would have lost respect for the team if they didn't.
He is absolutely a cancer and he never once bought into what Gase was trying to accomplish. It was always about money and fame for him. It took me 4 years to see that and he literally convinced me to hate him over that six-game stretch. That's never happened to me before in any sport, with any athlete. I honestly feel more fan-loyal to Jay Cutler than Landry at this point...that's how disgusting his final six weeks in Miami were.
You guys have no idea how hard I'm rooting for Cleveland to go 0-16 again.Last edited: Aug 8, 2018Puka-head, Tin Indian, resnor and 2 others like this. -
I love this video...whether Jarvis did it for the cameras or not. This is the type of fire I felt like I saw every Sunday and I will miss seeing it tremendously. Do I think our team is worse off? I think Jarvis is a really good player that got overpaid. As good as Jarvis is, I am not sure we are worse off because of our other WR additions.
Regardless, still love him and his passion. -
If this fire is so great, why were we not great when he was here with all that fire?

I also want to see at least SOME success with their moneyball strategy. Go 0-16 or so again and it will seriously inhibit future experimentation like that in the NFL. I personally don't think statistics is that useful for drafting purposes, but I also don't think it's completely useless, and you need teams to experiment like that to find out what works and what doesn't.KeyFin likes this. -
By my count there was one person genuinely engaged by what he was saying (front left), one half engaged/half bored (front right). The guy in the middle right looked switched off, but the other 2 in the back row were giving very defensive body language. Now body language is very inexact especially when looking at individuals you don’t know well for a short time, so we can’t assume too much.
However, the majority of the body language I saw was negative. Now if that is a true indication of how it was recieved in the room he may well have caused more harm than good with that speech.
I had mixed feelings about Jarvis, basically when you went back to his efficiency numbers they didn’t add up to anything special, even though I felt really positive about his on-field effort.Irishman and eltos_lightfoot like this. -
I haven't followed their other trades this year- I'll definitely comment more after watching Hard Knocks. It's recorded on the DVR but I hadn't had time to watch it yet.
