Steady hand and scheme fit I guess.
Backup QB is generally an ‘insurance policy’, so steady/safe is probably more prudent.
I Would have liked somebody with more upside, like Darnold. Maybe he ends up getting a lot more money than I thought?
I don’t know 8 Mill seems higher end on the backup market.Last edited: Mar 13, 2023resnor likes this. -
This is such a fantastic move. He instantly made the Jets better the second Wilson was benched.
He has a live arm combined with our track team at WR. We have a very, very QB friendly system. This is really gonna work out.xphinfanx, jdallen1222, The_Dark_Knight and 4 others like this. -

I don't like Mike White, he was way over hyped by a Jets organization and teammates who have never seen good quarterback play in a long time.
Hopefully, he holds the clipboard for 17 games. -
Pretty much what I expected for a backup quarterback. He at least has the ability to come in a game and not **** the bed. Two games might be stretching it.
An upgrade over last year Skyler Thompson that is for sure. -

It's easy to be disappointed, but considering limited options and cap constraints not surprising.
I think it's less about Mike White and more they liked what they saw out of Thompson in a road playoff game where he gave his team a shot to win. I hope it's Thompson that wins the gig and he continues to improve. -
