No. Right now, he would be an embarrassment for this team.

I suspect the cases against him are "manufactured".

I still don't want him on our team.

If he doesn't have enough sense to protect himself by not putting himself in totally unnecessarily risky situations, I don't want him on our team. Anyone that stupid or just foolish with his personnel life is just too likely to be that way on the field- especially at the QB position.

I dont think he assaulted any of the women. And i think hes been given terrible advice from his legal team. He should have gone Kobe and made a public statement about his affairs. If you had asked me this question back in January i would have given a definite yes.

now im worried what all these cases means to him psychologically. I dont like that hes basically been away from football for 11 months. And who knows what suspension he will receive from Goodell. Who knows what other evidence there is of him, the police havent shared anything.

so my answer is no for that reason… and even if all those issues are resolved… ima say no still..

we have already set us ourselves back by screwing up all the draft picks we have had the last 3 years.. if we start trading away everything weve got for deshaun, (we dont even have our 2022 first round pick, were gonna be offering 2023 and beyond) and it works out bad.. we are setup to fail for the remainder of the decade. And im not exaggerating that.

Anyone here starting to get hope that this deal is not going to happen?

Maybe the Dolphins really do think that somehow Watson can resolve his issues by Tuesday (LOL). Do the Texans really want to pay him for this weekend's game?

I just think that it is an inevitability that the Phins realize that Watson will not be able to resolve his issues. Essentially, at that point, we either accept the risk or break off trade talks. In my mind, going this far without making the trade is in-of-itself crazy. Why would you put Tua through this to not swing a deal? Geez, this has been botched on so many levels.

I am holding out hope that this does not get done.

Watson has made it clear that he's 100% innocent and will not settle anything, since that would make him look guilty. And while I have no idea if that's true or not, I do not expect him to settle at the 11th hour just to join the Dolphins.

You have to remember, he's getting paid either way and this is a nightmare for the Texans. I have no idea why they're standing firm with their valuation and not getting Watson's dead cap off the team ASAP. I expected them to ask for a single 1st by now- that would get this completed.

It was reported that the lawyers had discussed settlement so that is not likely to be true

Texans have no reason to just give him away. I just don't see why they aren't willing to offer pick protections if that is what it takes to get a deal done this year. That offers the Texans some safety as well in case things going really bad for Watson.

Honestly, I doubt the deal was ever anywhere close to done.

Before his legal issues; yes. Now; no thanks. Just dont see the logic in trading away everything for a guy who wont play for who knows how long.

You have to have picks to give a franchise quarterback if you’re going to build your team backwards like that. Sacrificing 3 first round draft picks over 3 years and 2 second round draft picks over two years, how many Jake Longs, or Richmond Webb’s or Michael Ohers…how many Derrick Henrys or Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smiths…how many Jerry Rices or Calvin Johnsons or Mark Claytons do you possibly miss out on trading away all of those picks for one player? You’ll have nothing left to build around him and in the process, get him killed.

I swear, if folks would listen to me, to include our inept front office, we would hardly ever lose a game. The Miami Dolphins would be THE powerhouse of the NFL. The rest of the NFL would see us on their schedules and dread game day

My arrogance? No, it's simply arrogant to think you're so knowledgeable about football (a claim you've made so many times) that you can build a team that would hardly ever lose a game. We've all attacked the ineptitude of the team without acting like we're football geniuses. You however think you're a football genius. You're not.

And if you can finally admit you're no better than the rest of us with your so-called "football knowledge", then yes you'll be "the bigger man".

I was doing the math in my head the other day. If 250,000 of us could invest $10,000 each, we could buy the Dolphins for $2.5B.

I know that sounds like a lot- but someone with a 700 credit score could probably get a $10k signature loan relatively easy these days. Could we find 250,000 Fin fans that would be interested though? Would we make any money at all from our investment? I have no idea since we can't see financials, but it's fun to think about anyway.

I don't want Watson, not a fan of degenerates leading the team.
