In What Way(s) Did Ryan Tannehill...
...struggle this year that was (were) not at all caused by any of his teammates or anyone else in the world?
Let's discuss the specifics of that here.
Did Tannehill struggle in any way that wasn't caused by anyone else in the world?

Yes. Everything was 100% his fault because he's the worst rookie to ever play the game.
Hartline's 1 TD is because Tanny blows. Before Tanny, Hartline had 20 TDs a season. Hartline and Jerry Rice are interchangeable, because let's be honest, surrounding talent means nothing.
And don't even get me started on his reads. Ugh, 5 minutes from snap till you throw the ball is too much. Hartline is known in league circles has being uncoverable. I mean the second the ball is snapped, Hartline is generally 15 yrds downfield and completely open. So tell me why in the hell that POS Tanny needs so much time to read he's open by 15 yrds is proof Tanny is illiterate.
I mean, how could it be Hartline when he's had more targets this year than any other year!!!!!!! And don't give me that crap about it being his first year as a #1 WR, that makes too much sense to make sense.
Seriously, to all you Tannehill worshipers, if Naanee sucked and Tanny never threw to him, why'd he throw to Hartline if Hartline sucks? You can't argue that logic.
Oh and the only evidence I will accept is numerical data that indicates I'm right. -

In all seriousness, this could become a discussion about how Ryan Tannehill performed this year in terms of the topic of thread (i.e., negative things he did that were attributable to no one but him), but we'll see how it evolves. I have a feeling very few people really want to have that discussion. -
-
Tannehill wasn't perfect, wasn't even close. But I think I'd donate my years salary if hartline could break a tackle and score a td, or out-jump a cb in the end zone instead of fall down, or **gasp** make a defender miss.
I know these things sound so foreign but I swear, other teams, their wr do these things.
I mean it!eltos_lightfoot likes this. -
This is Shouright being like a bored 10 year old kid on the otherside of a fence poking a dog with a stick to watch him bark and snarl, then sits back an laughs..its old, very old regardless of what side of the tannehill deabte you are on. It's bully tatics, and childish..And FinsD for Christ sakes man...stop being the dog in this senerio.

Now hartline, he ain't no rookie. He's primed now to get a pretty decent pay day too. If this Mofo could break a play open and actually change a game, our offense would have been different. I just...I can't believe the amount of passes he caught and didn't break any of them for a score. It almost seems statistically impossible and yet he did it. -
It's like we have to suffer through the same EXACT threads that were started by Shou during the Chad Henne tenure.MrClean, Larryfinfan and Fin D like this. -

Okay, the chart didn't come over exactly as I had hoped, but if you take a second and compare the two lines of stats you will notice that they are pretty similar. The first line of stats obviously a bit better.
The first line of stats belongs to Matt Ryan during his rookie year... the second is Tanny's. Now I'm not saying Tanny is gonna turn into the type of player Ryan is, but it shows the room for improvement. It also shows all those people who think Tanny is hopeless to give it a year or two.shouright likes this. -

Better just to say "no one in the world" so that the discussion can become very clear and very centered on Ryan Tannehill and no one else.
Now, is it possible to do that, or are we going to continue at a 98% rate of discussing the possible motivations for the thread rather than the invited topic? :headscratch: -
The guy struggled to put together a solid desk with instructions. He also struggled to correctly place teams in their divisions. Not franchise material. I say we draft another QB who will play perfectly as a rookie and ditch this loser.

IMO downfield accuracy....I dont know if it is because they didnt have a reciver fast enough to run under his deep ball....hopefully Miami gets one and we will see....
I dont think T did bad at all given the crew he had around him...sure he did some questionable things (who doesnt their rookie yr) but he also did some magnificant things as well.....
For the record Jim Irsay was on Twitter the other day and if you follow him you will know he tells it like it is...he wrote "Colts O is going to have some pep in their step in the fall"
Gotta mean he is going after one of those WRs, most notably Wallace...can you imagine Luck/Wayne/Wallace/Hilton??shouright likes this. -

Some people make an idol of Tannehill (or any Dolphin QB).
Others make an idol of debunking Tannehill as an idol.
It gets old and tiresome. -
At the very least, be intellectually honest. This was a snarky thread, have the fortitude to admit it.Larryfinfan and eltos_lightfoot like this. -
You mentioned sticking on his first read for too long, I didn't see much of that tbh, but I'm sure it happened from time to time.MrClean likes this. -
I guess, Shou, my question is why almost all your threads are negative concerning Tannehill? It seems that you just want to be contrary. If the guy shows no improvement next year over this year, then maybe these sort of threads will be proper.
For what it's worth, EVERY QB makes mistakes that no one else is responsible for...Fin D likes this. -
I would like to see the fierce in his eyes, the arrogance to throw ANY throw on the field, and if his receivers mess up?? He scolds them in the huddle. We had a QB like that before who's competitiveness was unmatched. And he wore #13.
So less dramatically...I'd like to see some anger in Ryan.
