well don't wanna sound like a broken record but as always good stuff, looks like you found some new toys to make the gifs even more clearer, i already posted this in the game thread, but that first gif under the execution topic...lamar miller busts free and uncovered down the left sideline
edit: i just saw that you also mentioned this later under the cost topic -

Yes, it's not a slideshow. :)
Those slideshows really need a forward/back button at the bottom, most annoying having to scroll up to the top to get to the next page.
Diagrams/images are missing for me, checked the mark up for the page and they seem to be missing. CMS related issue?Paul 13 likes this. -
Taking a page right out of the Armando/Cole playbook for creating controversy. Last week, after a win, you helped push the "Wallace is angry at his coaches" narrative and now this week you're trying to plant this seed of controversy, also after a win.
Very disappointing.slickj101 likes this. -

Well...to be honest...its very rhetorical. The question itself does lend itself to what Fin was saying...because its not a question that can actually be answered. Now..I think there are places for these kinds of questions when writing a piece, if only because it spurns debate. We just need to be careful and debate the question, not the questioner.

Like, what the hell kind of controversy can he cause? This would be the worlds worst controversy ever.ckparrothead likes this. -

My first inclination would be that Wallace was designed to be used as a decoy/clearing out mechanism against the Browns- go deep, clear out that side of the field, if he catches something deep all the better. The reason is simple- Joe Haden is that good. He's one of the best CBs in the NFL, period. Far better to get Wallace involved against a Greg Toler, Vontae Davis, whoever the Colts have, because they certainly don't have a Joe Haden who can blanket the likes of Mike Wallace.
Haden was stride for stride with Wallace all day from what I saw, he dominated that matchup. I think that Wallace's ego was bruised, and he was reduced to 1 catch for 15 yards, for that very reason- he was used at least partially as a decoy/clearing mechanism versus the Browns against an extraordinarily good Cornerback in Joe Haden.Bpk likes this. -

Wallace was not forced the ball this week, just as he wasn't purposely not targeted last week. These are fabrications to generate controversy. CK's analysis of plays and schemes put him on a higher level than that of Armando and Jason Cole, who are guys who need to generate controversy because their insight is nonexistent compared to CK's, which is why he shouldn't be using their tricks. -
Okay then. Agree to disagree.
-
Except they did use him differently, and he was bothered enough by the play calling that either he or joe decided that they needed a private meeting about it.

Wow that photo of Wallace's TD WR screen... How the heck did Pouncey get so far down field so fast!? What a stud!

And no, CK did not directly use the word "forcing". His question did use the definition of forcing the ball though, so I'm not sure what your point is. -

It's not that the question shouldnt be asked, its how it was asked. Why the ball didnt go to Miller on that particular play is the question. The conclusion that it was because we were forcing every throw to Wallace is not the answer IMHO.Claymore95 and Fin D like this. -
And after the game Armando quoted a source that is in Wallace's inner circle saying that Wallace was "livid" that he wasn't a bigger part of the game plan. I get that people don't like Armando. I think I personally have a more legit and direct reason to hate the man than most. But I don't get this assumption that he's just purely lying about that source, as if he just made it up out of thin air. Reporters that make sources up out of thin air don't survive in that business.
Yes, cooler heads eventually prevailed. Wallace cooled off, fell in line, recognized that he could have played better against Joe Haden, and some of that change of direction MAY have not-so-coincidentally come at about the same time Joe Philbin felt it necessary to have a private meeting with Wallace. -

Quite frankly, it would be irresponsible of me not to ask that question. It would come off fanboy-ish to just glowingly talk about how they got Mike Wallace all of this production without looking at what it may have cost them.Oboy likes this.
