http://therightscoop.com/report-entire-seattle-seahawks-team-may-sit-during-national-anthem-on-911/
I hope this is untrue. It's all over the web. It's on 9/11. Without reliving the Kapernick thread, let's just hope these role models don't do this on such a patriotic day. However, should they not stand, I'd like to hope it will provide our boys some motivation to beat them on the field.

While Wagner said he didn’t know if he would sit down during the anthem he said “anything we want to do, it’s not going to be individual. It’s going to be a team thing. That’s what the world needs to see. The world needs to see people coming together versus being individuals.”
excuse me, but isn't that EXACTLY what Kapernick is doing?
-
If you're protesting it as black lives matter, shouldn't you at least stand for the black people that willingly died for that same flag? I'm just saying.

The protests have nothing to do with the military. They're not being anti-military, or even anti-American. They're protesting social injustice.

I'm hoping the cameras simply stop showing the sidelines and stay tight on the flag and the performer who is also being disrespected while singing the anthem which was probably their life time dream. This mostly goes away if we just stop filming them being disrespectful. Oh, and you can argue with me through eternity and I'll win; they are being disrespectful. This country has given these spoiled brats everything and they are ingrates by not honoring it.xphinfanx, DolphinGreg, dolphin25 and 4 others like this. -
The part I don't get, is I almost get a little misty every time I hear that song and see them honor the flag and the fallen. To have anyone that wants to willingly detract from that for their own agenda just makes my blood boil. The icing on the cake is that the NFL allows this to happen is amazing to me.
Stand and respect the anthem and the flag it's part of your job. If you don't do it, you don't play and your game check goes to Wounded Warriors. If the players don't like it, there are literally thousands ready to take their place. We are prepared to lose this game to ensure you respect this country. -

Plus with how we actually treat or troops after combat is much more disrespectful.
It is sad that is not getting more press than a football player doing anything.resnor likes this. -

I find it disturbing that there are so many people that does not know what the flag stands for, and also the many people that deny racism exists.. Or perhaps they think blacks are treated the way theyre supposed to be treated, like animals that should be put down.
Lol @ "perceived social injustice"... You cant be serious about that statement and if you are... Then youre just creepy..

Facts over perception makes one "bitter" eh? Did you accuse someone else of not knowing what words mean?Shane Falco, Finster, resnor and 1 other person like this. -
The fact is, cops are people. Just as a certain percentage of people will be bad people, a certain percentage of cops will be bad people. Just as a certain percentage of people will suck at their job, a certain percentage of cops will suck at their job. The fact that there have been some cops who are poorly trained or just bad people who've done bad things doesn't mean that there's systemic prejudice against black people across the nation in dozens of police agencies.
White people get shot with little justification or mistakenly by cops all the time without massive protests or accusations of racism. Cops make mistake, but in general they got into their line of work to help people and attitudes being pushed by groups like BLM are doing nothing but discouraging people from getting into law enforcement and endangering the lives of the ones that are in that line of work.Shane Falco, resnor and Boik14 like this. -

There is someone in this thread that wants the owners to take away their right to do so.
This is America. Where you have the right to offend and you have the right to be offended. -
Personally, I find the kneeling to be a very respectful way to do this protest. The kneel in line with their team, they still honor the country, flag, and anthem, and they get to make their statement about whatever they are choosing to protest. I think the sitting is quite disrespectful, but it is their right to do so.
