I don't want to go Oliver Stone here but let's keep in mind the Tolstoy sized novel of the Pats cheating. I think we'll hear something come out about the game on Sunday. The Pats looked like they flat out knew the plays. Then we had a little whoopsie with T-hill's headset.
Now we come out after the half and light up the world. Pats couldn't stop us except for the last pass.
Something happened at half time and it wasn't just a Lombardi like speech. I think the Pats were stealing our frequency.
Go ahead and call me out as I know you will. But, I can guarantee you it was happening. Too many tech people have said how easy it is especially in your home stadium.

The headset issue was a dead battery issue. Can't blame that on the Patriots. For the rest I'd need evidence.
Incidentally, this article about deflategate just came out:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/25/s...te-new-england-patriots-nfl-science.html?_r=0
The scientists at Exponent, the firm hired to do the experiments on the footballs, are finally speaking about what they did publicly and they're adamant the case they made holds up to scrutiny (meaning it's unlikely in their minds the environment was the cause). It's an interesting read. -

Jamming is not stealing. My understanding of the original argument is that the difference in performance between the first and second halves is because the faster no huddle prevented the d from adjusting to the intercepted play calls.
Given the Pats history, not an unreasonable question. I need far more than 1/2 of football as circumstantial evidence though...

I don't think what the OP is saying is ridiculous at all. When the backup QB looks just as good or better than Tom Brady before leaving with injury, you start to understand that New England's success has much more to do with the system than it does the QB. Announcers love to ooh and aaah about how fast the ball comes out. The reason the ball is able to come out so fast is New England knows the defensive play call before the play happens. So they know approximately where to throw the ball on every play. That's why the ball goes very quickly to the open guy on almost every single play. Fans and media alike can continue to praise them, or start to understand that the allegations of cheating are very well deserved. Same on the defensive side of the ball. They knew exactly what Miami was doing on every play. Something happened in the second half. I'd love it if coaches started speaking out more about their suspicious and what they are doing to combat the rampant cheating that takes place in that stadium. I'm convinced it will all come to light soon enough. In the meantime, keep betting on the Patriots, because until they get caught they are pretty much unbeatable. It will be interesting to see how the system works with a 3rd string QB but expect them to still have success due to the amazing advantage they have of knowing the other teams play calls. Consider it like being able to call the exact right defense or offense every time in Tecmo Bowl.

So intercepting signals has to be done through means other than the headsets. Not saying it's impossible, but you'd need cameras and people giving real-time interpretation of signals to do that. Or maybe you find a way to get the playbook or something else.. who knows.
But you can't intercept (and understand) the messages sent to the headsets so regarding the headsets only jamming or taking away the power is possible. In this case the "power" issue as far as we know was a battery. And note that the NFL is responsible for all communication equipment.
Anyway, the Dolphins don't need to blame others on scant evidence for their woes. We need to get our own act together.Tin Indian, Finster and smahtaz like this. -
Just cause we suck, doesn't mean they don't cheat.

It's a documented fact everybody knows that the headsets are always an issue there. It's been that way for years.

Of course the cheating is well documented, etc, etc. But, again, lets be a bit realistic here. Just watch some of the film from that game. Byron Maxwell is miles off the LOS, and then miles behind the open WR he's chasing. Not because NE was cheating, but because Maxwell was giving up so much field position to the WR. Then watch some of Jelani Jenkins' play from Sunday. Again, no cheating, just bad football from a not so good LB.
You're going way overboard here IMO. that doesn't mean I disagree with you entirely, but... there's a lot more to what happened in that first half on Sunday than saying.. cheaters! -

Not knowing how the NFL runs security I cannot say how hard it would be to get the key, most likely it would need a conspiracy bigger and much better run than deflate gate, so pretty unlikely. The NFL did allow the equipment guy to take the checked balls into tbe bathroom alone after checking. One would think their technology security procedures would be better.

Anyone else that needs irrefutable proof the Pats are cheating, can I get all your credit card info? I mean there's no irrefutable proof I'll do anything bad with that info.

Pats home record at Gillette, regular and post season I believe is 28-1, 2013-16. That is pretty staggering. I believe Brady is an excellent qb and bellicheck an excellent coach, but towards the end of the 2nd period i was amazed that every play they ran both offense and defense seemed to work, seemed to be the right play call against whatever the phins were trying to do. That doesn't prove anything, and maybe the dolphins were just that bad.
-
They always cheat. Every single game. #taintedlegacy

I guess part of this depends on how bad Miami is this year. If they play well and kill the Pats in Miami it does lend itself to something is not quite right with this past game.
If cheating is suspect wouldn't it be easy just to disguise a few calls on the headsets with fake ones and see if the Pats bite? What is said in the headset? Does Gase say " Deep pass to Parker" or is there a code that the Pats can't figure out?
Was it Gase going off script that resulted in the change? If so, can other teams go off script or give out false codes in their headsets to see if that works? -
Do you guys realize even in the age of dynasties teams have never had the type of prolonged success the Patriots under Belicheat have had? It's statistically impossible to explain how the Patriots remain this good with new players year in year out. But not when you factor in cheating. This team at home has a ridiculous record. If you really watch every play, it's apparent that either they have prescient playcallers or they are cheating.danmarino likes this. -
I would have to imagine the following happening-
Tannehill "My headset is not working properly."
Gase "Tech, what is the problem?"
Tech "Battery needs replacing - there all set."
Tannehill "Still not working"
Tech "Try hitting the reset frequency button."
Tannehill "Perfect and all that interference is gone as well"
Belichick (taps special headset) "S**T" -
I'm not sure anyone needs irrefutable proof. I think we all know they have been, and assume there's a chance they still may be. We put ourselves in terrible spots though on Sunday, a lot of that blame has to go to our guys (Maxwell... Jenkins) first, then cheating IMO, because those guys were terrible. :lol:resnor likes this. -
Obviously you can't guarantee us anything, because you have absolutely no proof. The fact is that it was reported to be a dead battery. The person to blame for the headset issue is the Dolphin staff member responsible for checking to ensure Tannehill had a working battery in his helmet headset.
Unless that particular Dolphins staff member is a spy for the Patriots, your entire conspiracy theory is 100% false.cbrad likes this. -
What was it, 2 or 3 plays where it was a problem? and we did get the plays in, complete and utter no story here.
How come no one was crying "play stealing" 2 years ago in the first game of the season, where a very similar story unfolded, Pats dominate first half, and Dolphins come storming back to win in second half in Miami.
Maybe it was us stealing their signals in the second half?
It's not possible to steal signals through the headsets.
It smells a little bit like sour grapes imo, i understand we lost, but it's time to get over it and move on to next week.

Doesn't the NFL control the headsets prior to the game? Further, does anyone think it's not standard practice to put brands new batteries in the headsets prior to each game?

Not. Buying. It. -

Difference was the second half was garbage time.
