Well, none of us would have predicted it but here we are with Miami in a battle for the bottom with Houston.

Even as bad as Miami have been, this game looked like it should be winnable but then it was announced that Texan QB Tyrod Taylor would be returning for this game. For whatever reason Tyrod has been like kryptonite for Miami.

Tua vs Watson has been the debate for weeks and with the end of the trading window come and gone talk now points to Tua having nine weeks to prove Miami should stay with him as QB1. I'm not sure that the Miami FO would agree with that principle. It's possible Tua could play like the second coming of Dan Marino and they'd still opt for someone like Watson because... Dolphins, but whatever, Tua might not even be playing tomorrow due to a finger issue on his throwing hand.

Whoever starts for Miami at QB, they'll be throwing to a depleted WR corp:

I'll be interested to see how Merritt does, but then again, if the play-calling remains as it has been, it might not be possible to see what any player truly has to offer.

Another point of interest is the fact that Biegel and Merrit have been elevated from the PS multiple times and so now, once the game is over, if the team don't move them to the active 53, they won't be able to protect them any further. If an unprotected Biegel and Merrit get poached it'll look like another loss for this FO. If they don't get poached it could be considered an indictment on the talent Grier has acquired... lose/lose situation? If they ball out though, and stay on the 53, that's one way this can look like a win.

That's all secondary stuff though. For now, the only question will be - can the Dolphin beat the visiting Houston Texans.

"Although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. God sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general, important though they are, but a Saviour, with the power to forgive... It is my prayer that on this Christmas day we might all find room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of God through Christ our Lord." (Christmas message, 2011)

The truly sad, pathetic, and completely unforeseen answer to that question is: I hope so, but it wouldn’t be shocking if they didn’t.

Seems whenever Miami plays against a backup QB they make them look like Super Bowl qb’s I expect Taylor to look like a veteran starter!

I won’t be watching this one as I have zero interest in the teams performance and the lack of anyone taking accountability or doing anything to improve the team the owner and coaches are staying with the same game plans coaching staff as if these games are just flukes I guess they think if they don’t address a situation everyone will just forget but for me I expected some kind of a big move to shake up the team it just hasn’t happened so if they don’t care I don’t care going to be doing concrete work this morning and afternoon which would be much funner than watching this team

I won’t be seeing the game either…spending my one day off this week at my mother’s. Unless she can stream the game there, I guess I’ll just have to watch what the Orlando FLORIDA outlet is showing…Cleveland and Cincinnati. Amazing, isn’t it? Right smack dab in the middle between Jacksonville and Miami and they’re showing a couple of team from Ohio…

Wouldn't be the first time he carves us up...

This would be a truly humiliating home loss.

This game will tell us if the dolphins players care about tua at all in that locker room. If we go out and stink it up after all the drama the texans have caused us this season the players dont care about tua. Tua also better put up at least 30 points today or hes soft too.

Tua may not play according to NFLN. Game time decision.

He's dressed to backup but he can't start?

With the dysfunction of this organization it will be tough to figure out whether Tua bitched out or Flores bitched out.

According to Ian Rappoport, Tua is the backup because the “practice squad qb just got there”.

Only the Dolphins

Tua's out, my soccer team is playing at the same time, easy choice for me...

Lets give Tua a break here. He was diagnosed with a severely bruised ego, have some compassion.

Here we go again with this tea.! This year has truly sucked. So....Tua is a backup, but won't play? Ok....Not gonna watch Jacoby Biscuit take sacks and throw dink and dunk passes to Gaskin. I'll watch the Browns Bengals and just take a nap.

Haha. This team is a joke. Just clean house properly this time. Everyone involved, including Ross, right down to the janitors cleaning the toilets in the facility.

Guess I'll flip between this crap storm of a game and other games until the F1 race starts. It's really nice outside, so maybe I'll just go have a few drinks out on the deck in the sun instead.

The first drive was just as pathetic as I figured it would be.

- No parker again; get rid of this guy already.
- No Williams; again, free up a roster spot here already.
- Tua's hurt again
- Brissett is awful
- OL is awful
- defense is awful, getting gashed already.

There's just nothing good to say about this team. Given the draft capital we had we should be competing for playoff spots right now, instead we're competing for the #1 draft pick AGAIN... and we don't even have our own pick.

Complete incompetence from the top to the bottom. Clean house; starting with Ross please and thank you football Gods.
